McDonald's removes pink slime from burgers

This is the "journalism" you can expect from MSNBC and their sources.(MSNBC link is gone, this is what I could find)

Here, you should like it from this source then:
McDonald's drops use of gooey ammonia-based 'pink slime' in hamburger meat - Democratic Underground

I am sure CNN will mention this story in a few months, with quite a bit of opinion from LZ."thumbsup"

Smart ass.:ror:

So just to make sure I am understanding you guys correctly. You are pissed off because you just relized that your Mcdonalds burger was not good for you? Or is it that you relized it was even worse than you had imagined? Thats some funny shat right there

Just hunt, fish and process all your own meat and be done...

Now you just have to worry about what is in our rivers, streams, lakes, oceans...

If it's not one thing it's another

This. Everyone knows fast food isn't exactly the best food for us, yet we still eat it. It's like why am 500+ lbs? Oh, that's right, I eat there EVERY day.

You sure its not just that you hate super successful American company's like walmart and McD's?? :flipoff:

I mean if you really think Fast food is supposed to be better then good food you might have something wrong with you.... Its FAST FOOD not the best freshest food ever..

Hell even the WalMart example is weak.. I have never went to WalMart in search of the best of anything just quick cheap and easy.. I cant goto my local butcher and get toilet paper, a $5 dollar classic movie and milk therefore WalMart meat is more convenient...

****Disclaimer I dont buy any WalMart meat**** that shit is gross
:lmao:
you were that kid that would eat worms and lick poop for 50 cents at school weren't you.

Neither. I'm concerned that a McBurger tastes different now.
Hopefully Jack and the King won't bend to this hippie BS.

Duuuuuuuude, I know you live in the sticks and all, but come on, horse semen? On a burger? Gross!

Seriously, Mac sauce is good shit and I would assume much easier to get. :ror:

I've got the recipe for it somewhere if you're interested...

i'm upset, upset that the usda doesn't find it necessary to tell us there's ammonia in our meat?! kind of like there's corn in just about everything now.

There is a complex process involving high pressure atmospheric exposure to ammonia used to ensure unusable parts of the animals are safe to eat. Traditionally most of the meat from around the digestive tract is considered unsafe because of the high likely hood it will be contaminated during slaughter if not through the life of the animal. The idea is to kill all of the shit bacteria living in the meat so it will be safe to use. These parts of the animal have been used as feed in some cases in the past.

TLDR: The meat is put in a big metal cylinder which is then filled with ammonia until it is at a very high pressure. The ammonia finds it's way into the meat and kills everything that is bad.

There is no ammonia in your meat.
