Mastah Kyler's Chevy Silverado

take legos and glue them to the inside of the body. not actuall legos but the "bionicle/technic" legos pieces. you need a 2 5x1 pieces on each side and some of the little black posts to connect them together. you glue 1 to the inside of each slide of the inside of the body. then clip the posts in and put another 5x1 onto in. you can then pull the body apart if it has enough flex and "clip" it onto the stock body posts. lmk if you want a pic of how i did mine.

Sorry guys this is a very slow build. i am outta money and im just not willing to give up an other vehicles of mine but i did some body work today. i got the bondene but the magnets are coming on a slow boat from china lol lmk what you guys think!

I think I might have a solution to your articulation. i have the same rod ends and you may have to clearance some of the material around the cup area. Be careful to not remove too much because if you go past the centerline they will pop off the ball studs really easy.

Heres a link to BWDs micro wedge build instructions for some clarity. Same rod ends. Great pics.

and some magnets..i know you have some on order..but maybe next time...or the next guy lookin for magnets.

Now the for the redoing of the chassis is becuase i am going to run this BEAST of a battery  its a 2s 1650mah lipo i have a few choices on how to mount the battery. i think choice 3 will be the best.

CHOICE 1

You have done such a great job with the chassis and body. For the love of God, use a smaller battery and put it some place lower.

well i ghetto rigged (tapped) some electronics to the chassis. she crawls like an absolute dream for the length she is. the motor is just icing on the cake. slow crawl much cleaner while keeping the speedy power. it looks like another $30 will do it. $20 for tires and the rest for the magnets. i got some but they are WAY too powerful! i JB welded + super glued them down and the just ripped right off of the chassis.

so i finished up the chassis and mounted the elects. the body is drying from its final coat of paint. then all i need is to glue a magnet to the chassis and boom 95% done. last thing i will need is a new set of tires

wow havent updated this in a while! since the last update i have gotten miniqlos on 8trax wheels (looks beastly), got a crawlerx blade 5.5 chassis, an hxt900 servo, and a lipo that was about 10 second from blowing up (wish i took a picture before i ditched it) im not using the qlos because they are too big so i think im going to pick up the rox lox. future plans include a 4 link setup, real aluminum driveshafts and body painting(done right this time). i want to find a way to put the rear of the body on hinges so i just lift the body from the front and hinges on the back any ideas?

she fits perfect!

If your going to dig up an old thread can you at least update all the photos which no longer exist? kinda ruins the effect when 3 out of every 5 pictures is a generic photobucket notification. ):
