Mastah Kyler's Chevy Silverado

do you get enough torque out of the wire? the wire slides fine? i wish i could see it in person!

because the tube i used does not allow the wire to bend it pushes with every ounce of power my servo puts out. and it slides very easily now. however if I drive in a dusty area too much I may use a few drops of lubricant on it. currently there isnt any sign of wear from light use, and no catching for binding issue.
Although I cheated here a bit. I had a coffee straw for my first build, however the final setup pictured is a tube I got from work. Which is in the extruding department that makes tubes."thumbsup" And they have a lot of scrap laying around.

If you got the ability, do their idea! O: I like it more and it looks cleaner!

No bearing in there, I wanted to keep it pretty scale looking. It ran an HS-81mg servo(?) and it didn't seem to bind or cause any issues, worked quite well actually.

interesting...i have a few ideas playing around in my head. as soon as i get the front mounted i will explore my options a bit more. anyone else have any ideas on that? i think a panhard will be the best option but im unsure on how to mount the lower links :???:

If i'm picturing what your talking about correctly I say yes. As long as the springs are secured on both ends(axle/chassis). So the axle doesn't "fall out"

Again with the pic of the blue and silver dodge, its just running the coils for suspension..the shocks are just there for limiters of sorts.

BTW.. Your parts went out yesterday"thumbsup"

A flat brass strip with a hole in the middle. I slip the brass through the last ring of the coil and screw it to the axle. The flat strip should just hang past the outside of the spring on both sides.

sorry guys for the slowing of progress. been super busy with my new job. but i will try and get some work done tonight and tomorrow and MG i finally got the parts. Thanks a million bro!

well here we go, after a small break of working on the micro, meeting up with other micro builders and a generous care package, i am back working on the micro. I met up with a member here and was just as stumped as i was so i at that point i had lost most hope but a few days later... this idea was born. there would be just too much trying to work in the front so [drumroll] lets reverse it. motor in the rear. now i am at a happy medium. got some things today and started to hack up my old body so i knew exactly how to cut my good body. a bed cover will be added in the end but for now this is where my power source lies and stays. small update yes but the build is now active

bet you thought i wasnt going to put pics :flipoff:
