Losi 1/10th Roller

Hey Rich what is the maximum battery size we will be able to run? Will a 62mm x 108mm x 27mm A123 battery fit?
These are the small yellow 1400mah right?
With the stock battery location you will have to stack them (two and two) and this might hit the upper chassis braces. Or better yet get rid of the battery tray and lower them down to the upper links or servo mount area.

I would wait and see what the best option is for your application just to be sure.

I probably should have posted this a long time ago...sorry.

You can safely run a battery that is no more than 18mm thick and still run any of the shock arm locations. If you want to use our huge 3300 2S lipo pack, you will have to run the shock arm in the highest position.
The following picture shows the max width and length before hitting the back of the servo.

No it's the 4S 2300mah that Maxamps has... so looks like if I run with the stock battery tray I will be sticking with small Lipo's, but if I move the battery to the rear axle I should have enough room for one of these... maybe.

I can't seem to get the manual to load on my computer. If someone else can or knows the answer I would appreciate it. What kind of grease is being recommended for the worm gears? Want to make sure I have plenty on hand.

Also I remember there was a gear ratio chart in the manual can someone post it on here as well?

Thanks Marc

The grease is a Marine type, not sure about what brand or when it will be available (but should be).

The manuel wont load for me either so here is what I have from Rich when testing.

Gear Ratio:
25:1 ratio at the axle ratio

Pinion Ratio
12 83.25
13 77
14 71.5
15 66.5
16 62.5
17 59
18 55.75
19 52.5
20 50
21 47.5
22 45.5
23 43.25
24 41.5
25 40
26 38.25
27 37
28 35.75

Hope this helps.

Actually we are using the grease from the Smart Diff. The marine type grease works well too.

One tip, keep the worm gears greased well. "thumbsup"

Rich

Thanks for the chart! I have been using the losi EP black grease with success in my kyosho axles with good results. Maybe this grease you speak of is better? Will have to see once ppl start running these rigs and what works for them. Still on the fence to get this rig or do a Moa for the kid to comp with.

Thanks
