Losi 1/10th Roller

Ive been following this post and was getting real excited for the crawler. but then I heard a rumor that this isnt even a losi.. the only true losi's now are the ones packaged that say TEAM LOSI . IF it just has a losi its more than likely a sportworks. And losi most popular race rigs like the xxxt and the xxx nt have been discontinued for about 6 months. I kinda feel like im being fooled when I hear this stuff... I have been a losi fan for years but , if pops and jr are not really working on these things any longer really are we getting the losi quality that we have grown to love or are we just getting sportworks or ofna quallity...

still dig the crawler but really how much was pops and jr involved??? will it be labeled a TEAM LOSI ???

Ditto, I couldn't of said it any better myself. it was great meeting and chattin' you Del Monte. Just seeing you wheel the new losi 2.2 has me wanting one Badd! it was amazing how stabile it was right outta the box in stock form.

I'm with the rest... Great to meet you Del Monte!

After talking with you and watching you walk that near vertical climb, I was on the phone placing my name on the 1st one that hits my LHS that I deal with "thumbsup"

I am really looking forward to getting it and really seeing what it can do and slaying a Berg or two!

I saw the Losi pulling some amazing lines after the comp at ECC. It looked very capable.

It was also nice meeting you Del Monte. You are a good Rep. for Losi"thumbsup"

Ecc!

Where to start...

First off, it was awesome meeting a bunch of you guys at ECC. Everyone who I talked to out there was great and it was nice to be able to put faces to screen names. More importantly... you guys can really drive! I'll be putting in a lot more practice before I venture down south again 8)

The rig performed great out there, and the courses were some of the most technical I've ever driven  Halfway into course #1 I lost all forward drive and proceeded to wedge the rig into a nasty spot. Turns out, I had lost the bolt that holds in the adjustable motor plate. When I grabbed full throttle, the motor torqued itself away from the spur gear and left me hopelessly stuck  I took my repair and fixed the issue, but had a lot of ground to make up in a short time. After that, I was pushing hard to get through the course and get to the bonus climb, but in the process I managed to snap a CV shaft... even with 3 wheel drive I limped the rig to within inches of the finishline, but timed out just short.

After that, I finished the next 3 courses with no issues at all. I was really getting in the groove by the end of the day, and the rig was planted! I worked my way all the way through the insane bonus on course #2, only to just graze the cone on my way out. I went into the course knowing I needed a big negative score to make the shootout, and I just missed my chance. I still finished 15th overall for the day, with a total of 72 points, half of which I racked up on course #1

Still, I had a great weekend... and of course I have to thanks LOSI for making it possible for me to travel and compete like this. I definitley wouldn't have been there without their support. I also have to thank fishmaxx for giving me the chance to run the event, and all the judges and volunteers who helped out. I hope I was able to answer everyones questions about the rig, and hopefully it impressed a few of you 8)

For now, I'm off to tear apart the rig and see how everything held up, then its back to the rocks for more practice 8) I might just make an appearance at SDRCRC's finals this weekend in Lake Wohlford, and you never know when I might pop up in the South again. This time I will make sure that motor plate is tight...

Is the comp crawler a TEAM LOSI or a LOSI. I hear that a losi branded box is like a sportworks / horizon kinda deal. and a TEAM LOSI is still the origanal race rigs like the eight and eight T. rumor has it that team losi discontinued its popular race rigs like the xxxt and the xxx nt. I just want to know what im buying...

Jake, It was really good meeting you. It was cool to see the truck in person. Sorry to hear about the cv break. Aleast you had spares.

Heard that snap. :ror:

Pre-ordered mine last week, can't wait to get it. I'm sure it will be a huge step up performance wise from my CR-01 so it should be sweet.

Little disconcerting to hear about the cv snapping but I realize nothing's unbreakable. I'm hoping it proves to be at least as durable as the AX-10, guess that remains to be seen.

Just remember, he has put 40+ batteries through this beast. How many drops, falls, rolls, binds, and sabatoge attempts by berg runners have there been? And this is the first major breakage I have heard about on a "test" rig. I am flat out amazed that it took this long for something to break."thumbsup""thumbsup"

I just wanted to thank you Jake for taking the time to answer all the questions we have had, and info and pictures you’ve posted. I can’t wait to get one of my own. "thumbsup"

I pre ordered my rig last week and cant wait like everyone else but my question is what is the dimension of the steering servo L+W and what tire inserts are you using I wanna make sure I get the right ones so I will have everything ready to go when it arrives! Thanks Doug"thumbsup"
