LC79 build

I have gathered/built a forge for smelting/melting aluminium, bronze, brass. It would be cool to take your 3d printed parts and cast them, but you can accomplish most that with machining as you have been too. That x member and the bed mounts would look cool! NOT KNOCKING on your work in any way!

I take that as a compliment... Casted parts will be cool! unfortunately, I live really far away. Those bed mounts were 3d printed for convenience . I have to improve them. I might bend some out steel sheet to allow them to rust

About all the other members who replied. You are too kind. It is nice to hear some good feedback

Thank you! I'm getting courage to do a 2nd take on the lights and make a proper clip on a trail. Every time I took this to the mountain, my kids take turns driving :)

This detail took months to do. I've designed a set of brake calipers to apply at the front axle and even machined the steering knuckles to mount them(it is the ring part). Printed on my Ender 3 and were far from perfect . My friend @TheGamer printed them in resin and they are truly perfect: every detail, super smooth and no layer lines. Getting them was the tricky part, we live about 100km apart and like to drive together but family responsibilities doesn't always let that. A couple of months of delaying a meet, he sent them by mail :( . A meet is near but I needed this to reignite the spark for tiny trucks

Sorry for the rant

To apply them, just sprayed them to look like aluminium and matched the ring with the knuckle with black

mmmm....real rust

Applied a bit of tubing that runs over to the engine bay to complete the look.
