Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Just got my SA 3.5. I'm not sure if I'm putting it together correctly. The 2 side pieces seem to be bending inwards at the back. Is this supposed to be like this? I feel like I'm gonna snap the chassis as I try to fit spacers inside. Tolerances all over seem to be so tight. I got it all to go together just like in the build threads here. I'm just worried about the bent CF pieces. I'll try to post pics.

The chassis sides or cab? The cab bends in quite a bit at the rear.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

The cab. It does bend in alot in the rear. I thought I was doing something wrong. I felt like I was going to snap the CF as I screwed it in. Never worked with CF before.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Yes it bends inward quite a bit. Everything is tight because Jeremy doesnt use oversize screw holes. The tightness contributes to overall rigidity as well.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

I went ahead and replaced the rear cab spacers with thicker ones. Double the size. I feel more comfortable that way. It probably doesn't have a huge bearing on performance.

By the way, I just realized I'm gonna need a whole new set of links for this chassis. My old ones won't fit. Does anyone know if the Chaotic Crawlers Titanium links will work even with the stock upper link mount? I heard somewhere that it might only work with the VP mount.

The cab is supposed to flex like this. It's really not a big deal, the carbon is a lot stronger than you think.

i guess a year and a half or so of comping on them finally weekened it:ror:

i have been thinking about how to lighten the rear wheels a bit more and get rid of the 800 hubs we are running.

here is the outcome. i can run a 225 hub and be the same width as the 800 and the dropped to .55 oz with all hardware and hub:shock:

i will prolly make a face design for the fronts to match.

You're an animal, who would have guessed you could find another half and ounce hiding in there. And to think I was just going to make myself a couple rears.

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"
