Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Jeremy, I have just been going though some old posts in this thread. What was the reasoning for the [articular positioning of you knuckle weights. I was under the assumption that lower was better. Sorry if you have already touched on this.
Forward bias through mechanical leverage.

Correct, weight forward and out as far as possible to make the limited weight I am using more effective."thumbsup"

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

with a 700 hub i can 3.9 oz completley inside the wheel.. i will still cut the ring but this is the most i could possibly fit with a 700 hub that i run.

here is the 1/4" blank i cut, i have an 1/8" as well.

What is the blank for? I've looked but, can't figure it out.

My guess is that if he is not loading up his knuckle weights he can add the blanks so the weight will be as close as possible to the wheel face.

Just a guess though."thumbsup"

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

new employment has me really tied up...

Just tell your work to fuel the Jet. A quick trip to the East Coast should not be out of the question for high rollers like yourselves. If your coworkers can write a letter to the owner of your company because his new f-150 king ranch 4x4 ( replacing his 2 year old truck, because who should have to drive a truck that is more than 18 months old) only came with a small v-8, why can't you have them fly you to a comp.

hahahah, really, this is not icee:roll:

There are about 2.2g weight savings
about.

there might be some new weight savings here in the future"thumbsup"

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

Those zip ties are massive and weighing you down. We have Kevlar thread here at the shop that would save you AT LEAST .006 grams PER ZIP TIE replaced. You could use fancy scout knots, or even braid some thread together for uber-strength. You're welcome.

;)

Those are in the works "thumbsup"

thats cool but i think this will net more than that...

that's funny....i have a whole spool of it from the epoxied project"thumbsup"

i know some find it ridiculous to try to be this light, but i am shooting for a 3.5 lb with a sever front bias still, and all metal axles.....

Re: Krawl's "SECRET AGENT"

I think it's awesome! It's forward thinking like this that advances our hobby and gets people excited about building!

I'm so inspired that I've begun prototyping a new XR Chassis from popsicle sticks, paste, and old Iphone parts.

Good work!
