KillerBlackbirds Wraith build...

Thanks guys! If it doesn't snow here Monday I'm going to meet up with my friend that owns an SCX10 and go crawling to test it out.

The car is my summer weather vehicle, '01 Honda S2000. My Wraith probably puts out more torque than this thing but its still fun to drive.

Awesome build mi can only imagine the money tied up in this. I like the honda too and that is a bad ass pic!

Killer Blackbird, had given us a Permission letter from Red Bull to allow us to design the skins these will be metallic flake inside skins.

Cheers
Michelle

Wow how long did it take to get Red Bull permission? I love that set!! I am jealous and want some!! Hehehe

baddass ride.

how does it wheel sitting tall like that. seems pretty dang tall to me

Did they email or fax you? How did you communicate with Red Bull?

I sent them an email on their main US page. Someone should email you back, I was amazed they did for me. Usually large companies blow you off.

Miss my S2K :(

They're like go-karts lol.

It sits high, but seems like it will be ok. The first 10' I moved it, I put it on its roof because I cranked the wheel to tight when it was moving too fast lol. I haven't had a chance to use it on the rocks yet but it should do ok from the other tests I did. Id rather have a little more clearance than getting hung up lol

I notice your diff covers are upside down!! :P Easy fix but I guess you know that. :)

Yea, it doesn't bother me haha. Maybe if I'm bored ill take it apart and fix it but ill live with it for now.

Yep, nice wraith kit build! I got mine for Christmas, started on it tonight. It'll be my Fri or Sat night project - keeps everyone at home (my wife!) happy!!!

Thanks for posting up!

Cheers,
Doc

A bump with some new stuff;

I've been working on a used Honcho I bought so the Wraith hasn't seen much activity. Since the Honcho needed a new body, I ordered one from RPP Hobby...along with Mad Dog RC 2" light bar for the front, dual 4" light bar for the roof, and the 1" rock light kit for the Wraith. That should finish out what I want for lights. I picked up some wire and small switches for the light bars at Radio Shack so I can turn them off seperately from the regular lights. My Krawler Konceptz inside skin also came and ill be mounting that on new body panels soon. Ill post pics as soon as I can.

I finished my Trail Honcho rebuild so I started tearing apart my Wraith so I could put my new Krawler Konceptz skins and Mad Dog RC light bars on.

I decided to remove the Axial simple light kit to free up space under the hood, in the front I've mounted the 2" light bar. Under each side is the rock light kit and up top is the double 4" light bar. I bought 3 small single pole toggle switches at radio shack, I plan to wire each light bar so I can turn them off independently (rock lights, roof bar, front bar). I'm still working on mounting the double 4" bar to the Exo light bar, I cut off each of the 5 light buckets and the new light bar will be protected by that cage they were in.

Made a little more progress.

Mounted the double light bar to the Axial cage, lengthened and ran the wire leads, and mounted the toggle switches to the interior panel. Ill shorten the wire once everything is where it should be.
