Hey guys,
My name is Lee, live up in the North Kansas City/Claycomo area next to world's of fun. Not really new, been around lurking for awhile, gotta little build thread going in the scale forums. Never ran with anyone, but recently did some looking around and found KCRC. Chatted with a guy on facebook for a bit to get some info. Maybe I can work on my social skills and come to a meet next time one is scheduled. Been working on my K5 and need to test it out. Got a lot of homemade stuff on it, well not a lot. Let's say some. Making the K5 RC4WD body fit a SCX10 has been fun.

Anyway. Anyone know of any good places to drive around in the northland area? Been trying to think of some parks with wooded trails, but can't really think of anything. Got some weird warm weather this week and I've been off work so I'm bored.

Need to test this beast.

We will have to get together this spring/summer. I was up in Liberty with my girlfriend this weekend. Went over to Martha Lafitte Thompson nature sancuarty. Pretty nice wooded trails, some paved, lots of nature trails though. Not sure how many miles weave in and out. Not sure if you have been there. We walked around for a good 2 miles.
Couple pics of the terrain i went on. Found down by the bridge there is a little creek crossing that was pretty fun. Heads up a steep hill, guessing its private property though, they have signs posted to stay on the trail. Girlfriend was tired at this point and didnt take pics. [emoji107]

I bought a Ascender K10 today and am pretty excited about it. Never owned a Veterra product before. My SCX10 II Trail Honcho is built to my liking so onto the next project!

Ive ran a couple packs through the K10 mostly just trail running in the timber and its a great little truck. I removed factory battery plug and added a Deans connector and a Castle bec first thing and with good voltage to rtr servo I feel its fine until it dies. Sadly I bought it for a project and I think im gonna leave it alone. But it might get some AR44's....

I'm looking for some videos and pictures as well. Especially of the pulling contest. That was fun.

How did Longview lake go? I try to Google KCRC crawlers often and click on Faceback link and look at current posts since I know most are on Faceback now rather than here. Wish I would have checked earlier I would have joined today.
