KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

Did you delete that post for this weekend Jerry?

I'm out o pocket for Saturday anyway.

Sunday though I am planing on running BC creek and trails around my house, everyone's welcome to join.

The weather doesn't seem to be as good tomorrow as it was today. Thinking a bit later then normal start, the temps will be decent.

Around 12 o'clock is what I was thinking.

well a few of us took advantage of yesterdays good weather,
& did a sneaky - sneaky Re-Con scale run on some of the Blue River Parkway Trails !!

the trail head is at Blue Ridge blvd & Blue River dr.

when i first looked at these trails on the maps i thought they were going to be good & i was RIGHT !!

we did around 2 1/2 miles - but more like 4 miles because of the energy rating.
lots of ups & downs - with out any switchbacks.
not as long as some of the trails at Landahl - but they sure seemed like they were just as long.

excellent scaling area !!
a good mix of trails in the woods & lots of rock outcrops everywhere along the High line trail,
with a "High Line Express Trail" at the top of the ridge.

this area was SUPER COOL !!
rock out crops - BIG AIR JUMPS off the cliff the face 10 to 12 foot vertical drop, 20 feet down to the landing ramp - look out Yeti XL's - jumps & berms were everywhere up there !! super fun !!

we didn't get to run the basement trail much - next !

over all - these trails were just as good or even better than what we seen anywhere !!

this place is off the hook !!

now the bad part & why i posting this here.
#1 still in jackson county - illegal to run rc cars there - like landhal
#2 limited parking.

posted this here just for us to see & want to keep this info "OFF of FACE BOOK" - just between us RCC guys !

i know there were some pics taken - so lets seem them !!

may have to sneaky - sneaky there egan - next good day !!

Was definitely one of the best trails I have been on! Not the greatest for my lil 1.55 rig I ran but still a lot of fun and only a couple areas I couldn't do. But great for 1.9's and up for sure! I can't wait to see an XL out there on some of those jumps! If we ever approach county to do an actual G6 event I think this is the place to do it!

Yes it was actually very impressive to say the least. If u look at the topo map u can see lots if nice inclines an amazingly alot more rock features then what we see out at landahl park. I will try to upload a couple clips tommorow I guess caleb lost the pics he took from yesterday so I will see what I can dig up.
