KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

well hopefully you can get off work and have a rig by then

Oh, I'll have 4 by then. Few tweaks and my Rubicon can be Class 1 and my truggy will be Class 2 plus the Wraith and Bouncer would be Class 3. If I get approval from the ol' lady then I'm probably going. I'll know more in the next week or so.

okay not sure who all is going to the nationals in colorado but chris and i are trying to go , wondering who all is planning to drive ? if there are several of us maybe we could go together and rent a bus from my work and all share the cost . just a thought

Nicole and I are going for sure but we're going to stay for awhile so we'll be driving separately.

I'm sure it'll be a blast! I love crawling at Red Rocks, we had USRCCA comps there in 2009 and 2010. It's in my top 3 places I've ever crawled, I think the only places that were better was Pioneer Park in Utah and Corona Del Mar in California. Definitely worth the trip!!

Okay i checked on the rate for the bus rental , for a 15 passenger bus with rear storage bay it would be $ 1368.00 for the whole time ( figuring leaving on the wed before and returning on mon evening ) if we could get at least 10 people to go in then it wouldn't be to bad ( if 10 went then $ 136.80 each plus fuel ) i know i looked at a rental car ( ford escape ) for the whole time is gonna cost a little over $ 450 plus fuel so really it would be cheaper if a group of us go together . Let me know what you think and who all would be interested in going

Landahl Park - "Mid Winter" Scale Trail Re-con Run #4.
Saturday Jan 17th Landahl Park
trail run starts at 10:00am sharp - at the south parking lot.

Look's like we may have a large group for this one !
hope everyone can make it - should a good fun !

just a reminder guys !!

"NO DRIVING YOUR RIG's AROUD IN PARKING LOT"

we need to keep it "low key" before we start out in the morning !!
all it takes is one park ranger driving by and sees RC cars running around - that will get us booted out-of-there fast !!
wait until we get back to the parking lot from the TRAIL run - then its on.
&
please "BE ON TIME" - if you want to run with the pack !!
once we start out - if your late - you will never be-able to catch up to us !

hope to see ya there

Landahl Park - "Mid Winter" Scale Trail Re-con Run #4.

NOTICE !!!

OK guys !
just got the alert that Landahl Park trails may be closed tomorrow to mountain bikes/hikers.
they say it still may be to muddy in places.
now this message comes from the Urban Trail Co's Twitter page.

so now heres the deal.
i still plan on trying it tomorrow - just to see "WHATS UP" & get out of the house for a bit.
plus - if it looks cool & run we run the trails,
this could be a good chance for us to see/show how much of a "LOW INPACT" we can make on the trails.
if the trails look OK !

just wanted to let everyone know - what i was alerted to,
so you guys would know the conditions for tomorrows possable trail run !
tomorrow - if it looks to muddy - the trail run will be cnaceled / rescheduled.
won't know really until i/we get there !!

so in short,
its up to you - if you want to show up & take the chance or not.
but,
there may a alternative rocky area out there we can use for the day all-so !
well see !

i just want make sure we don't make anyone mad at the club for us trail running out there.

thoughts - options & ideas welcome !!

thx

That seems weird!? Have never seen that place close (wet or dry) ever.

If anything I figured there would just be a ton of riders out, with the nice temps...

The county doesn't close it so technically speaking it is always open. The biking/hiking group that self appointed themselves as the care takers and maintainers of the trails states if it is closed. Because they do so much work to the trails most groups including us have been leaning in the direction of their decisions. We don't leave the trail impact that a person on a bike would on a muddy trail however so that's why Jerry was saying if its not too bad then everyone will still go out.

Oh man that SUCKS I guess r/c people are only good for paying taxes. But not good enough to use the public land our tax dollars support. I had to work overtime today or I would have been there. Unreal.........

Jerry, thanks for the great time yesterday, for my first time out it was an awesome time. Nice to meet all of you too. I just signed up to RCC so this is my first post.

Hope to be able to come back out again very soon!
