KCRC - Kansas City Remote Crawlers -

Hey J-wow, check out this epoxy floor. Its in a 4 car garage in a 10,000 sq ft house in Leawood. The superintendent actually said "The sub Messed up."

I asked what that job payed, and He said "This guy won't be paid." Just thought I'd share. I wondered how yours turned out. Surely it looks better than this one.

Wow! Mine turned out way better than that. The two colors have evened out some but not 100%. You wouldn't notice unless you knew to look.

However I did get lowes to agree to pay me for it. Pretty much took care of every penny I have in the shop. I'll take it. Still pisses me off that it isn't right but I can live with that now.

You can kind of see the difference here.

got a question

well this all started because I bought my son a rs10xt. was just looking for a entry level crawler/basher. well I then started really researching and wish I would have went a different way. anyway I am sure it will be just fine for him and I have already bought him some upgrade stuff for when he starts breaking things. Its time for dads crawler. I am up in the air. would a ax10, xr10, or a bully mk42. Pretty much my top dollar right now would be 5-600, the more I save on a crawler the quicker I get us a pair of scale trucks for some thrashing.

Best bet would be used. If you want to compete then AX10 can be a good sportsman rig but can't really hang with the 2.2 class.

A comp ready XR will cost you more than 600. Bully's are a bad idea, they are durable but not competitive.

A nice used Berg or XR could be had for the amount you are looking at though.

well Im going to try and dap with them around here. i kinda want to do both. I really want to buy one truck personally but Im not sure its possible. I just found a Diablo 1/10 Rock Crawler. its looking pretty promising...

damn wile I was typing about the bully you were saying steer clear. Id say sportsman class would be a good start....but you all know where it goes from here. Im definitly no stranger to spending money on fun....

to be honest I really don't know what I want. I was all set to get a wraith when I got laid off, took me 3 day to get a new job, and the same amount of time to decide maybe a wraith wasnt for me. to many darn options!!

I would look for a good used AX-10.

If you decide you want to comp, you can build it into a great Sportsman rig. If you decide that the comp scene isn't your cup of tea, it's a great foundation to use for a scale build.

Posts only count in tech sections.

The RTR is a good starting point. Get it from somewhere else though. RPPhobby.com is a better bet. CKRC is a good place to avoid.

A good used rig would still probably get you a better bang for your buck.
