Thanks Jeff...Ive had so much going on that I just wasnt seeing the simplicity of the weight system...youve done the hard part..Kudos for that...Ill be ordering materials this week or early next week...I am going to adjust the design for set screw mounting of the main ring to the knuckles and look at a couple of options for mounting the sub-rings...

Either way...the new Paradox "J" Weights..."J" for jebster...will be along soon...thanks again Jeff for breaking the ground...

i listed the weight a few posts back. here it is:

Knuckle mount - 1 5/8 oz
Full ring - 1 3/4 oz
Half ring - 7/8 oz

Per side that gets me to 4 1/4 oz and change for the hardware

everyone, just wanted to put an acknowledgement out to thomas of rmdesignworks. he's looked at my idea and is going to be exploring the production of this knuckle weight system. given his ability to create and refine ideas and bring them to market i'm sure it will be another great addition to his product line. if my simple concept helps benefits others i've done my part.

looking forward to it. it will deffintly be a cheaper way off putting nuckle weights on than having to switch to the 8* VP knuckles and weight system

Got some upgrades. First up was creeperbob straight titanium rear axles. Awesome! No more slop or wiggle. Next up was VP wheels. I added some new wheels to my xr10 which freed these bad boys up for the creeper. I will be switching the sedonas over to rovers but you get the idea.

great product. fit like a glove. and the reduced weight in the rear will help to shift the cg a little more forward, something i wanted.

yeah, i still like the 4vp. has enough adjustability for my needs. as to whether i'm having good success or not is a whole separate question! :ror: i have a comp next weekend which will be the first time i'll get to try out the new rear shafts, knuckle weights and vp wheels in action. hope all goes well.

It's been awhile. Decided to swap the slw wheels for some custom made lightweight rims. The only issue was the offset wasn't working out so I had to make some spacers. Just used a hole saw bit and a slab of delrin. It worked out good.

Weather sucks so it may be awhile before I get it out for some testing. In the mean time here are a couple pics.

ready to run mine is 5lb, 4oz. I haven't done much to trim weight but it does work pretty good for me.

That's pretty light tho! Like 12oz lighter then mine!

Chassis prolly a part of that, an wheel weight.. I don't have any complaints on how well a creeper can crawl! Heavy or not, its a great rig setup

The local club is running the bodied 2.2s class so I needed to change things up. Decided to completely remove the existing chassis out and went back to the basics, ie the original creeper chassis plates. I kept the links and axles all the same but used xr10 shock mounts to lower the upper shock mounting points. Lowered the entire rig down for a lower cg. I took it for a test run and I really like the way it rides.
I have an xr10 hardline body on the way to give it a nice sleek look.

Can't wait to get it out for a comp. Now for a few pics.

Been awhile. So, earned a ticket to nationals in Prescott AZ so me and the creeper went on a trip. First major comp I've ever been to. Did OK in my book (54 of 75 in 2.2s) and I was really happy with the rig. I do believe I was running the only creeper in the field.

The nationals highlighted to issues with my creeper: 1) I need more steering and 2) the skid is a major hang point. I decided to work on 2 first. I figured that I could lay the tranny on the side. It would keep he driveshafts low and drop the motor down for better cog. Out came a slab of derlin and I started milling. Got it finished up and I'm pretty happy with it. Need to get it out on he rocks to see how it performs but I'm confident it will be an improvement.
