Ittybitty's DLux Ultra

I got a little over an hour on the rocks this morning at a place we held a recent comp. This allowed me to compare how these tires performed vs. the Rovers...at least pretty well anyway. I think I need to mess with the foams a little more before I start comping with them. I was getting some good results in certain areas, but in others they were hit or miss. I know the rear could be a touch softer, and I think the front could be as well. I'll probably just pull the tuning rings out and give them a try at our comp this weekend when I get a chance.

You are on the right track. "thumbsup" Also, they take forever to break in. I hated them for a long time, and then it was like a switch flipped. When the silvers start to look gray instead of black they are getting good.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the support and to OTTSIX for choosing this build as the 3rd place winner in their Build Off.

THANKS! 8)

Congrats Ryan's on the podium finish on the build off thread . Now to the updates on how this rig is going I hadn't heard from you in a while ...

Congrats on the 3rd place. Rig is looking sick!!!!! I absolutely love the way the narrowed Voodoos look. Anything new to report on performance. Tire wise?

See the problem is this...the closest worthwhile rock is a little over an hour away...and parking is a real PITA so the next closest is just a hair under 2hrs away. If I had some more decent rock within 30 mins I'd have this rig dialed and be able to provide sooo much more feedback.

I actually sold those tires a while back and never got around to picking up another set...but I guess since there's 4 new ones on their way to me I won't have an excuse anymore :ror: I chose to get 4 silvers this time.

Congrats man! Great build!

Thanks Erik...wouldn't be possible without all of the badassery you continue to dream up!

dang... didnt realize you was so far away from good rocks ..... i would have had mine already on the rocks if everytime i get my rig rock ready erik comes up with something else ...

I know what you mean. Of course I've also been re-bitten by the 1:1 bug recently. I've got a shiny new pair of air shocks laying on my bench and all of the goodies necessary to 4 link the rear end of it are on the way. We've got a trip planned for April that I'm trying to make some changes for.

Might be more fair to call that car a 2:1 or a 1.5:1?:flipoff:

Interesting.

I, and I would assume most everybody else, thought it came from something else.
