Interest in Rally?

. I am also thinking about ordering a roof mounted light bar to help light the way, maybe RC4WD 4" light bar???

Not sure if that will last long Paul. It might cause the body to buckle, plus the bar will be taking some brutal force on those roll overs. I'm not sure if the lights mounted in the front will be any better though. But they will look sweet. :lmao:

Also everyone take a look in the Group: Colorado Rally. A new topic has been posted. "thumbsup"

The RPM Light bars work good That what i have on the HPI MDTT Rpm # 80922 their holding up strong and take hits good.. the rpm buckets i have on the rally are holding up just as good but I'm gonna change them to the 4 bucket bar #80782

Does any one know if the light bar can be rotated at the mounts? instead of mounting it to the roof, could it be mounted to the front grill and the light bar rotated up? 1:1 rally rules state no lights above the windshield height (per Ty)

The Rpm light bars can be rotated to fit on the grill.. I just order my 4 bucket bar..

Paul and I did a practice night rally over the weekend. Tons of fun trying to follow the cars through glowing clouds of dust. :ror:

The plan will be to allow lights on the cars (preferably mounted below the windshield), like on real rally cars, allow each driver to have a head lamp and we will have glow sticks on course to mark extra technical sections. The first one will be at Paul's place with food and racing starting sometime around 9pm.

Paul will get the specifics on the date and all that Jazz.

If the first night race works out we will do another one at HOON470 and then try to incorporate one into the series races (sometime toward the end of this year) as a night race.

And it was FUN!!!

I am need input!!!

please let me know if you are interested in joining us. This will be like our normal season setup head to head style racing. Maybe an all in race at the end.

Saturday Night June 8 (Sunset 8:27pm). I know there are crawling events on Saturday & Sunday during the day.

OR

Saturday June 15 (Sunset 8:30)

I would start cooking around 7:30-8:00. It takes about a half hour after sunset before its dark enough. So races would maybe start around 9:00pm. Finish up around 11pm, depending on how many people show up.

There will be light and work table for repairs in the garage.

Just let me know so I can get a head count for burger's & brought's
or we could order pizza if everyone wants to chip in "thumbsup"

I'd be game for the 15th date. Waiting on parts for my car from China, so I couldn't make the 8th lol.

And I'd be willing to chip in some $ for grub, just tell me how much! :-)

The 15th it is. Looks like 4-5 of us. $5 for pizza, pepperoni/supreme good with every one? 8-9 practice and tune. 9pm race start time "thumbsup"

I just ordered my lights today, so I won't have them in time. I might try in the dark anyways. As often as I break lights on my scalers, nothing different about driving blind.

there is probably enough light from the street lights you could run and still keep track of it. looking forward to tonight"thumbsup"

Little bit of rain at my house right now, not to heavy. i did soak the track last night to help keep down the dust. plan on a few muddy spots, no standing water.

PM if you need directions or my number
