Incision Drveshafts

u joints traval in a oval pathway
2 u joints will cancel out the force created by that path the joint travals if there not phased right and at speed will cause vibrations and harmonics this is just the shaft itself nothing else dosent matter if theres something between the shafts cause the joint traval in a oval pattern and you need another one to counter it to eliminate vibration
if the drive line is set up properly you wont notice if your shaft is out of phase end of story
then theres the double cardon shaft that as 3 u joints or a cv joint on 1 end and u joint on the other how do you set those up

i do what i was taught in drive line class in college when i thought i wanted to be a mechanic
and payed to make driveshafts in the shop and run custom driveshafts i made in my own rigs
except the new rig since i dont have ready accsess to my old shop with all the tools

So what I've gathered from this discussion, I think, is that instead of:
"Splines are timed to allow for driveshafts to be installed in phase"
it would be better put as:
"Splines are timed to allow for u-joints to be installed in phase"

I think I would have understood it then.

Regardless, thanks for all the comments as they have been really helpful.
