Imthatguy's RC4WD Gelände II w/Cruiser Body Build

Looks so good with the lights lit up. I have a few wild willy winches, i was afraid they might be too small but I actually kinda like the look. I have an axial exo radiator i am going to cut to fit I think too

Axial rad is probably going to be too wide, and interfere with the light buckets. I made mine just wide enough to tuck between the two headlight pods.

Glad you like the winch. If I had my way, I'd have a QS one, like Rocka.

Truck looks sweet like the rope on the rear roll bar

Thanks sir!

Winch does look pretty good on there. Plans for having a hook and rope sticking out of the fairlead?

Absolutely. I'd be quite the fool otherwise.

Make sure you pressure test it. Cutting up radiators can be tricky. :ror:

I second the QS. I'll keep an eye out for one, I know a few peeps with more than one. "thumbsup"

I love the look of the steelies and the MTZ's, it's the perfect combo for a "stock" look. I haven't even had the desire to look at anything RC recently, but now after seeing these great builds, I want one of these kits.

You find me a QS, I'll sell someone else's baby to get it.

Glad I could help you spend money!

Radical!

Just a couple bits of styrene really help hide the wires.

My driver arrived. Calm, cool and collected.

Finally, I got around to the last fiddly bits. Just waiting on a servo and we're good to go. Video this weekend before I go on some travel for work.

N00b let me copy his design for inner fenders. Styrene is more better than lexan.

I also fitted a faux winch line and hook to complete the real fake winch look. Oh, that's a poem.

You know that 'Noobs driver outranks your drive, right? You'll have to answer to 'noob as: 'eye, capt'n !

Sulu's a better driver. And I already call n00b "captain". But that's mainly because I forgot what his first name is.

Plates designed..shipping for next week "thumbsup"

Hooray!

And here are some photos of it out in the wild. I must've blown a fuse, as both my blinkers are stuck in the "on" position.

Since this is an Ontario, Canada truck, it'll need a front licence plate. Not completely Toyota spec, as I made it in my garage.

Matt, Im blown away with the amount of detail on this truck. It sure does look good Matt.

How much do you charge for weathering a truck? lol

Man, that thing sure looks good. "thumbsup"

Thanks, friend. Your approval is very important.

I don't have a blue star, so no comment! Glad you like it though. All this stuff comes with experience, and experimentation. Give it a go on scrap pieces of styrene and go from there. "thumbsup"
