How to build a crawling course: step-by-step

I added this to my "Cheap Tricks" sticky. As Nluvwithxlr8ing stated, there is a lot of great info here and we can't sticky it all. ;-) "thumbsup"

YAY! Thanks BENDER! I really appreciate that. (BTW, you are the guy who makes the Bender SW2 chassis right? Well, if you are, its one of the greatest 2.2 chassis I have ever driven. I drove my friends SW2 last week, and it performs really well;-) .)

You should try the SW3 then,it's a step ahead of the SW2"thumbsup"

Thanks for the wright up,this will help allot of people get started. One thing I've found that helps allot in building a rock garden is something to move the bigger rocks with. Them biggens can really work the lower back. This helped allot with building our spot.....

Man I really wish I had something like that or a Bobcat. All I had was an industrial wagon, a wheel barrow, a dolley, my ATV, and my body. Man you are one lucky fellow. (but no wonder you get the big boys toys and I dont, lol, I am only 14. )

No problem, thanks for taking the time to write that article. "thumbsup"

nice write up u got me wanting to finish my home crawler spot but im going to use about 5 bags of quick crete too

here is a quick drawing of what i had in mind let me know if i need to explain it

u can go up it either way rocks then pond then down the waterfall then into the last pond or vise versa the ponds wont be deep like 6-7" at max just enough to make things slippery

8-legged hide-outs

The only problem I had with my rockcourse was after not running on it for a few weeks , I went to go crawl and there were tons of spider webs all over in the holes between the rocks.
So I filled the gaps in with dirt and packed it down where I could.

Good idea. Only problem is... it kinda premotes the growth of weeds. Which you really dont need nor want on a good crawler course. My suggestion-- before weeds grow on the dirt you put in, spray it with weed killer about once every 3 weeks to a month.

im getting payed tomarro so i will be getting 5 bags of quick crete then i will rund to harborfreight and pick up a $5 underwater pump and then run to my lhs and get some parts for my cralwer if u guys are lucky i will finish it this weekend :) yea

When I landscaped my yard last summer I convinced my wife we should have a "dry river bed" feature. Man she had no idea I'dspend all my time out there.
