Might as well build everything out of titanium then...
Don’t remember who showed me this tool at Wild West,
but I got one last year and I love it. Much better than pliers.
Does this pliers, with the hexagonal cutouts for the shocks, work better than pliers with the semicircle cutouts?
This build started off as porn and it continues to be porn. Filthy!
How many sds cases have I killed? Exactly as many as I've owned, none. ...
I have a set of both 7075 and 6Al4V cases, so that isn’t impossible.
The 7075 is a surprisingly strong material. These 7mm Dlux rear axles
are 7075 and I haven’t seen a broken one yet... Dlux and RCBros are making
their Berg lockers out of 7075, SDS was as well, and they seem to last.
The Dlux 7mm 4140 fronts are beefy as heck. I don’t see breaking one.
Not sure where I am going here, but just thinking about WHITE-TRASH
thinking the tubes are too thin and a Super needing to be even stronger.
I think 6Al4V cases and tubes would do the trick with the same shafts as
this rig, just longer...? I don’t really feel like doing destructive testing,
but maybe I should reconsider that...?
OK, gotcha. I wasn't being a dick, I thought you had some...
Right because I'm worried about you being a dick. I was about to go cry in a corner until I read this.
I think a simple sleeve about 1" long that slips over the tubes and the clamping shoulder would do the trick. It would strengthen the whole area of the joint and not lose any real measurable ground clearance.
Ohhh... Stubs! You're right, dang! It's OK, he just has a ™, not a ® ... :lmao:
