Homemade Scale Accessories
I Can't afford Scale Accessories like Metal Jack Stands or Disc Brakes right now,
So I made some myself they may look a little crude but saved me a lot of money.
With just some left over sheet plastic & tubing I made a set of Jack Stands
that holds my 10lb. scaler with no problem.
A pair of Washers for the Front Disc Brakes & A Beer Cap for the rear Drum Brakes.
All for Free. / When your on a tight R/C Budget you get creative.
I have seen a lot of homemade accessories that look way better them mine.
But hey, I gave it a good shot.
Even if I had to go out and buy the plastic & washers they would have only cost about $8.oo
Just to Note: The Disc Brakes & Drum Brakes are just for display.
I can't run my truck with them on. / Also ~ The Jack Stands are Not adjustable.

Thanks for liking my Homemade Scale Truck Accessories
I just built a 1:10th Sc. Garage out of Scrap plywood it has three windows & three walls.
I kept one side open so to take pics of my truck inside. Went to the lumber yard to try and find some scale 2x4's From the wood molding rack.
I only found scale looking 2x6's so they will do.
Who said you can't build a garage Using 2x6's instead of 2x4's it just makes it stronger.
(This is just a sneak preview of it) ~ Sill need to make a workbench and Finish up the back wall
and a few other small details. ~ In the future I may add a fuse box / outlets & wire.
Just for display only ~ Nonworking.
I have seen a few scale garages with working lights but not going that far, Just keeping it Simple.
So far the only cost was the wood molding strips about 25ft. of it for $20. & Change.
(Info: 25" Long / 20" Wide / 12" High ~ 1:10th Scale One Car Garage)

Scale Garage ~ Up-Date

Progress Report:
I got the back wall done / Workbench made & The fuss box installed.
Made 12 electrical outlets made out of wood to place around the garage.
Also got some small hinges for the 40's Barn style garage door's.
The door sill needs to be cut in two half's & To have the hinges install.
The Workbench Pegboard will have black dot's painted on it also.
A lot more work then I thought., But that's the fun of the Hobby.
Sill a longways to go before I am finished.
Till next time...
(A scale Craftsman's tool chest made out of a 2x4? ~ The creative mind rolls on)
