Holmes Hobby talks 2:1 2300kv

I saw that pop up, definitely good timing for the Origin. I was really hoping for an 1800 kv version though.

I can see why he wants to just start off with the 2300 kv version as it ties up more inventory than usual (ESC and motor) and he's gotta have a big R&D bill to pay off. He did mention a pre order though so if anyone wanted a different kv they could do that. The pre order wouldnt be for the first batch though, those will all be 2300kv.

He also mentioned it would include a auxilary wire for drag brake adjustment. When its set to 0% it would have a brake and a double tap reverse for bashing which I think is one of the best use cases for the adjustable drag brake.

Not that I'm really all that worried about 4s, but I'll be down to try one of these. Might be an origin option depending on how the timing works out.
Right, but for myself, I'll be running 4s in the Origin so this will fit right in (bought the 3000kv/CMv3 combo for it already).
Looks like a VFD Carbon my be needed for that. lol

I will definitely give one a go. He says he has 3000kv if we want it. I say hells yeah!
Agree. Will defiantly Vie for a 3000kv version.

He did say 1800kv was another option to the 3000kv variety, which I would want.

I guess I should have clarified, I was hoping for 1800 kv at launch lol. I've been waiting to buy the ESC and motor for the H10 Origin in the hopes this would come out in time. I'll probably just go for the 2300 kv to support them but I was planning to run 4S , maybe I'll need to gear down a little.

Tomorrow Tuesday at 5pm central he is dropping a batch for pre-sale, link is already in the Motor/ESC Combo section with price and details.

Expected to ship mid-April.

Unfortunately I just made an order TODAY to deck out my Optic.

New Crawlmaster Stubby v2 BL motor AND Crawlmaster HV ESC, AND SHV650LP servo are on the way...

I decided to save my new Fusion Pro for my Ecto, I didn't want to shave the chassis of the Vanquish to fit it in.

Today at 5:00 CST Holmes Hobbies will be listing the 2300KV version, Josh mentioned this on the SNU today.

Jon also mentioned in a recent video they'll be staggering listing these so that folks in various time zones get a chance to get one.
