I just got my second SHV650LP and was pleasantly surprised to find it now includes an aluminum servo horn which is awesome. Thats easily a $10-$15 value add. They also mention that it includes an integrated overvoltage snubber to protect the servo from spikes caused by small batteries (1000mah and lower) you can read more on that here: Direct power servos getting killed by small 4s lipo
I'm not sure if the original had the snubber or not.

EDIT: It sounds like the Integrated overvoltage snubber is not new. Thanks @Col_Sanders

They mention that you can also run their 4s Lipo Direct Power Servo Protector which I will also be using since I have one.

I was also pleased to see they are no longer including things that crawlers never need, the rubber isolators, brass inserts, plastic servo horns and oddball screws. All it includes is the servo, servo horn, a screw for the servo horn and a few stickers. I always hated throwing away all that extra stuff.

The servo horn has holes at 20mm and 24mm

Yeah I know this may not need its own thread but the product page doesn't have pictures of or any mention of the servo horn being included so I thought I would throw it out there.

The first batch had an internal snubber. If was supposed to be big enough to handle the small 4s pack spikes. Maybe they did make a change though. The horn in a nice addition.

I'm still using my first one on my c2 and it has been good. The one in my c1 died on the bench after a comp or two. The replacement is in my spare parts bin. Kinda don't trust it. My friend has had two die on him. He was running a big 3s pack on the second one and was not in a tough spot at all. Myself and the judge saw a little puff of smoke and then he realized he lost steering.

I just got my replacement on Monday. Noticed the aluminum horn but haven't even had a chance to take it out of the box yet.

My original didn't die completely, just got the super jitters when you'd turn it.

I also am running 3s 3700mah batteries. Not a comp truck.

I think according to HH video or FB post that any available "snubber" able to handle the biggest spikes from tiny 4s battery he's seeing wouldn't fit into the servo case.

I chalk my failure up to first generation of specialty product from a small manufacturer. I've been in his shoes so let's hope the new one is all good.
