I use cambric (I know that's mispelled) tape. I conformal coat mine the put one wrap of cambric tape then shrink wrap them. I only wrap one esc, the tape is used for wrapping transformers and is good protection to keep things from rubbing together.

This thread is full of great facts......

That said one SMALL detail is missing, I wasted 4 hours troubleshooting as I was adding another BR and getting rid of my "dig" unit.

I too stacked mine using a post, shrink wrapped, I like my BEC out front, closer to my battery, nice and compact and skinny to keep it low.

I must add here, I also added a new TX (futaba 4PLS) into my arsenal and between my BR issues ,figuring out how to set things up, and a bad (brand new) rx , was pissed beyond belief! :flipoff::flipoff::flipoff::flipoff::evil::cry:

Simple answer is YOU MUST CALIBRATE BOTH BR ESCS !!
BEFORE smashing them.

I had one calibrated, but not the other. My display was perfect (I at least programmed it right) but no matter what I had one motor working, not the other. I finally REREAD Holmes Hobbies INSTRUCTIONS.....and it works sweet!

You can smash esc's before you calibrate them. Just do one @ a time. plug 1 esc @ a time into ch2. Plug esc 1 into ch2 Then calibrate esc 1 unplug. Plug in esc 2 into ch2 calibrate esc 2 unplug. Then replug your esc's into your rx.

So I thought.......then I saw this..... it's for real ! I separated them to calibrate, then resoldered one leg

Hmmm... the way I describe above always worked for me.
Glad you have your esc's working.

I was surprised when I read that, and at that point was willing to try everything. The blinking on the one that wasn't led me to the instructions..... that does work every so often...
