help setting up big bore shocks

I have the traxxas big bores with mini - t springs and the custom cups. I also have the dlux stand offs. I am using the carbon axial chassis right now. I would just like to get a base line of oil and springs to use. What length of shock to use eye - eye. I can tell that the overall length has to be right since there is no way to adjust the springs with this setup.

I use the pistons that come with them and for springs losi mini-t fronts or rears should work for ya. As far as which size to get the 2661 is most likely the one you will want for the stock chassis. Oil depends on rig weight temperature and personal prefernece. I run 40-45 but my rig is 4lb 8oz now. So I think that should get ya started.

The length can be adjusted by adding either a limiting spring inside the shock between the piston and the bottom of the cylinder or even cheaper, a peice of nitro fuel tubing.
and I agree with Mammoth , 30 wt. oil is a good starting point. I use 60 wt. in my 2.2, and my heavy super I use 1000 cts diff oil in the shocks.
