Quarry Creeper
Well, the packages came in today I have been waiting several weeks for...
My first impression was "WOW, these are HUGE!!!"
Here are the comparison to the popular Losi and Panther tires (unmounted):
Here are the foams that came with them, vs the taller "All-Weather" NWT Reach Foams... The ones that came with it are stiffer than the NWT foams, but a lot shorter. I don't know why they put such a short foam with a tall tire. They remind me of stock losi foams.
They have nice sidewall reinforcements built in. These are the easiest tires I have ever mounted before by far. I have mounted about every proline/losi/panther tire there is. The bead on these are top notch.
Here they are mounted on my Mayhem wheels as compared to the panthers mounted up. (these are the fronts at full weight)..
On the crawler...
All four mounted up...
I just ran them for about 10 minutes on my garage testing course. (It is actually pretty hard for something in the garage.) I can say I made lines with these tires I never made with the panthers. They also did every other line I had done with the panthers even easier. I haven't had losi's on it since I redid my comp rig to be able to accurately compare them on the test course. They seem to be a hair bouncy, but with some foam adjusting I should be able to get them dialed in.
Bottom line, I am impressed. They climb better than Panthers and they side-hill better than Panthers. Not to mention they are also taller. I would say this may become the next tire to run. Time and testing will tell. I will be at our local comp place throughout the week and will post up more as I drive on them for a few days. "thumbsup"
