Quarry Creeper
Mine did well this weekend too they took a 3rd at Varcor "thumbsup"...
My guess is that it leaves an air gap between the tire and foam, allowing the tire to get a nice, large contact patch.
I just got mine in and mounted and plan to run them for the first time on Tuesday. I will be running them with stock foams to start with. It will be cold on Tuesday, about 35*, so I guess I will see if/how they hook up in the cold.
I've noticed a couple of things. My batteries die faster  and if I don't stuff the tire all the way with foam, the ride height is the same as my panthers. These tires make my truck do some strange things because they are so squihy... so I am going to have to tune foam more. I don't mind the air gap (it seems to increase traction) but I want a foam that doesn't compress as loosely and wrap up so easily. Double memory foams in the rear are approaching acceptable, but not quite. The front stock foams are just too soft.
Traction seems to be good, but it does no good when the tires wrap up and roll you backwards. ;-)
Well these tires worked well for everyone at our comp today except me. I guess I had the wrong foam set up.:x On muddy rocks... they are just OK.
