FROADER's F-250 Supercab

I don't know of a way to diffuse a standard led, but you can you these. I have on a couple different rigs and they work very well for a flood type of light.

Thanks, Brian. It's painted like my 1:1 beater. :)

I just randomly tried something with the lights, and it seems to work great!

I put a piece of masking tape over the light and here is the result. The lights are the same distance from the ground.

No tape.

You need LED's with a wider viewing angle. The wider the viewing angle, the less focused projection you get. Try a 45 or 60 degree viewing angle LED, that should do it for you.

Thanks, Highmark!

The wheelbase is 12.25" so I only had to stretch it .75".

I figured out the LEDs. Instead of using tape, I just lightly sanded the tip to make it look frosted instead of clear. It gave me the same affect as putting a piece of tape over it like the pics above. I'll have pics of it "done" soon.

I've seen your build MR. VERTICAL and I like it. "thumbsup"

Thanks Colby. I'm very happy with how it came out and after todays run, I'm happy with the quality of Pablo's work. :D Now I just need to connect the cab and bed at the bottom – like TommyR did – and it will be much more solid.

Took the rig on it's maiden voyage today and I found some things that need adjustments, but I'm very pleased with it's performance.

I changed out the foams in the tires, so those worked really well. I lost both mirrors which I knew would happen. I'll need to do either the spring or rubber rod mod to those now. The rear bumper needs supports to the side bars, but I'll probably end up making a new bumper instead of working on this one.

Here are a few pics.

Looks awesome. I like how the paint turned out. Someday I will turn my highlift into a crew cab as well.

I think it needs some of the bushwaker style flairs to help keep the tires tucked under better. Other then that, the thing is top notch. I like how the wheel wells turned out.

Thanks, guys! I may do the fender flares. I've been looking at pictures of F-350s with them to see if I like the look or not. :)

I'm going to make a little Ford emblem for the grill tomorrow at work.

Thanks, Boost. I'm itching to get to Vasquez & Hansen Dam with this thing. I'm out of town this weekend, but maybe the next weekend we can plan something?
