Here we have another 1/10 Toyota FJ40. No published specs yet but appears to be a fully licensed, Toyota short wheelbase FJ40, circa 1974 and earlier... evidenced by the smaller front turn signals, the style of the emblems, top mounted wipers, the shape of the rear lights and the window layout, to name a few.

As to styling, I would have loved to see a 1975 and later FJ40 to separate it from the 1/10 RC4WD Gelande II "Cruiser" body (*which isn't licensed). This one will blow the RC4WD version away on the operating features alone and better realism but the axles are lacking as usual in the scale department. It has the Mashigan, 1/6 Willys MB style of link suspension. Wonder if the Mashigan leaf spring set will work on this one? EDIT: yes a leaf spring suspension set will be sold separately The FJ40 Land Cruisers all had leaf spring suspension so that would tip it over the scales for me. "thumbsup"

Wheel base of the model is 339mm and is 90 inches on the 1/1 so in my calculations it makes it out to be about 1/6.7 or 1/7. The RC4WD scales to 1/8.3 so it's about one scale smaller . . .

These specs are gleaned from the video:

- Wheelbase: 339mm
- Length: 571mm
- Axle width: 194mm
- Height: 326mm
- Overall width (mirror to mirror): 268mm
- Tires: 115mm
- Approach angle: 65°
- Departure angle: 40°
- Motor: 35T 550 Brushed
- Radio set: FS-G4P 4 channel transmitter 2.4 GHz. Max 80m distance

- Ready to Run
- Full ball bearings
- Hard body
- Hood, both side doors, tailgate open. Super detailed interior
- Soft rubber seat
- Steel C-channel frame
- 4 link suspension
- Leaf spring suspension (sold separately)
- 1.9 inch All Terrain tires

Didn't even read this all the way through and I'll finally become a FMS owner lol.

Haven't liked any FMS/Rochobby RTR yet huh?

I'm definitely in 'Team Jeep' and couldn't resist the 1/12 Willys MB when it was $99.99 and am eyeballing this because it's just a Japanese Jeep for all intents. I like the Mashigan too but the FJ40 is just more classic, plus two color choices on the way.

See you're a Jeep guy. I'm a Toyota guy and literally my collection of only 1/10 crawlers have a Toyota body of some sort.

Well rats. It wasn't private when I posted it.

Maybe the channel owner "jumped the gun"? He seems to be directly involved in FMS, always showing something that hasn't been released yet.

Anyway he had two "1/10" FJ40s, one blue and one yellow, the same blue and yellow used on the new FMS Land Rover Series II.
I will keep an eye out.

EDITED to ADD: a placeholder for the product on that Euro site: https://www.mcmracing.com/en/home/198947-fms-fms11035rs-bu-fms-110-toyota-land-cruiser-artr-car-kit-rs-blue-5404039212536

No photos yet.

No, I'm a Jeep and a "jeep" guy, as the FJ40 is a copy of the CJ as is the Land Rover Series I, II and III et al. They all have the same basic layout before the 'grocery getters' started mucking things up.

You know, the 4-door "jeeps". :)

Hey I got some pics from that site in post #6....

The teaser pic and line drawing indicate the year/model/version, that it has a roof rack and that it uses the Mashigan running gear and wheels.
Very prominent hangers for the optional leaf springs are indicated.

So from my guessing is that this and the 1/6 willys are using the same chassis/Running gear. And the optional leaf springs, convert it to what the jimny has

I mentioned that in post #1 but have not confirmed it. It is my belief that the axles and running gear are identical across all their large scale RTRs because it makes ease of manufacture and/or monetary sense:

ROCHOBBY 1/6 1941 MB
FMS 1/6 JIMNY
FMS 1/10 MASHIGAN RS
ROCHOBBY 1/10 ATLAS 4x4

The Jimny comes with leaf spring suspension and only the Mashigan has them as an option. The rest do not mention it but I guess it is possible to add them.

For the leaf springs to be a drop-in part across all these big models, it looks like they have to accept the drop in sets for the Mashigan which includes a structural member(s) front and rear:

https://www.fairrc.com/products/1-10-mashigan-rear-automobile-leaf-springs-sets

Or just accept the Jimny set which are sold as spare parts. Front and rear sets look identical but I don't know if all the vehicle frames will accept the springs without interference from other components.

I have both the willys and jimny. Looking to add this or the mashigan when available to my garage

It is listed for sale on a sister FMS site: https://www.fmshobby.com/products/fm...ruiser-fj40-rs

$349.99 USD SKU: FMS11035RSBU (Blue) SKU: FMS11035RSYL (Yellow) ...shown as "sold out" at this time, which can be another word for not in stock and never was.
OR there were some but insiders bought them all in short order or they were provided for all the YouTube "influencers" like RC Review and Tomley RC who get them before most people even know the product exists. I'm sure they will all have an FMS FJ40 in under a week so keep an eye on their channels.

Here's a link for the manual at the same site: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/05...f?v=1691747346

The video that got scrubbed mentioned that the full lighting kits was a DIY affair but looks like headlights are probably standard. Battery not included. I did notice oil filled shocks in the manual....8)

Thanks for sharing! I think I am starting to love that this is a bigger scale. And curious as to what other rigs they will release in the far future.

Just got mine..this thing is huge! Done wheel spacers, weigthed wheels, true hyrax and replaced with 80mm oil shocks (just built one from my bin). Next is esc..will test today and see how it performs.
