First Sneak Peek: SSD Trail King - Pro Scale Chassis Builders Kit!

I think it’s more like dc teasing a movie and then marvel releases movie of the year before there’s is even done.

The thing that bothered me the most about it was the constant teases and also ssd going into the axial tease and associated tease threads hyping their soon to be released kit only for every other kit to be released before we actually see a finished product from them.

I’m guessing pre-orders weren’t what they were expecting or pre-orders were cancelled after the release of the other kits and they are trying to figure that out.

I dont know how much the Element impacted this but I bet the VP release was an unexpected punch in the gut.

I have no idea what you guys are talking about,

There was an unexpected parts delay and we are busy packing now.

A couple of weeks late is not the end of the world..

I don't think they're competing for the same market. It's 3 different niches in my opinion. Element is the Axial Enduro RTR level, Vanquish is a metal, performance rig, and SSD is a scale performance rig.

Some guys may be deciding on one of the trucks out of these three, but for most of us we want two or three of these trucks.

Gave me some time to raise funds, shipped two trucks out this week so I'm ready for this and the Enduro!

Very excited.

what the name change?! haha caught me off guard but it makes sense.

i tried to raise funds but didn't quite get to red marker the rest of that thermostat lol
just the endure for now, hopefully a trail king someday. jeez if i knew this many trucks would come out at once i would have paid attention in school! hahaha

Not really, I had heard they were working on a new trans and V2 truck a while ago. Also the Element truck is not a concern to me at all.

As stated above they are 3 different trucks with different objectives.

I am already very busy working on new Trail King & Enduro option parts...

Lol! “Pant” Danza was always a typo, but the forum prevents one from having multiple accounts so I was stuck with it. Mike came through and has it matching my social media stuff now "thumbsup"

I sold the bomber and the tf2 marlin on eBay and luckily got enough to cover both the enduro and the trail king. It helps that he’s allowing coupons on Amain and RPP too. Should be a good month!

i was wondering why i never saw your stuff in the classifieds here.
i was seriously camping out there hitting F5 to see what people were parting with for the new rigs hahaha (would scooped a couple there have been some nice ones!)

wait wussat now? SSD upgrades for the enduro?! NICE!!!
never doubted you, really hope your rig does well. i also agree they are 3 different levels of truck. pick what works for you.

Yeah some weighted knuckles for the Enduro would be very nice, we can use SCX10.2 parts but would lose the BTA steering so a set made specifically for the Enduro would be awesome.

Maybe some diff covers and low profile bumpers (for the RTR)

I'm guessing those are already on the to do list thought, Keep up the great work SSD!

I was wondering why the battery sits where it does on this truck? What is the purpose of the battery placement here? Just curious that's all.

The transmission is up front so that area is taken.
Putting the battery above the transmission would raise the centre of gravity.

So it's in the lowest place it can be and it's as close to the middle it can be without blocking access to the rear driveshaft screw pin.

RPP & Amain will have these early next week.

Sorry, bed replacement was supposed to be battery placement. Stupid autocorrect. Went back and corrected it

I am giving away the files for the engine spacers free for 3d printing so you can put your engine where you want.
