Still need to smoke the tail lights and get that novak system back and make that bumper!

Also going to move the mounting holes forward to push the front axle forward and so i can go back to stock scx10 honcho links for a longer wheel base.

Easiest for gluing these bodies is plain old plumbing PVC cement :)

And to answer your question from earlier, the Hilux grill will bolt right in.

You'll need the Hilux N parts bag (has the headlight buckets), the P parts bag (lenses) and the W parts (the actual grille).

Looking great. I love what you did with the rear shocks. Do you feels as if the single body mount is negative in anyway? IE the body rocking back and forth?

lil too much "FLEX".. or what we non noobs would call "Articulation".. too much will hurt you. thats a known fact but another known fact is that noobs LOVE LOTS of FLEX :flipoff::ror:... just playin.

rig looks good and you have a good idea of how to setup shocks sounds like. but oil in them is good, you should have lighter fluid not drain them. I run full droop on all my rigs also. internal springs under the piston is good to limit out some of that rear down travel.

have fun with it is most important! it looks really nice! good work!"thumbsup"

keep us posted!

oh and get some nice sliders. i know a guy who makes them!!

yeah it does great running full droop and I redid the shocks in the rear because triangulating them is horrible. Also switching to wraith shocks in the rear and moving the mounts forward a bit on the frame. And I am going to build some sliders and bumpers soon.. Hopefully just haven't had the time. Haha

thanks a lot! Yeah the triangulated rear shocks looks cool but trust me doesn't work unless your running leafs. With coils seems to work better moved a little forward on the frame and sitting as wide as possible for side hilling. And having just one hole in the rear works fine because of the two up front body doesn't rock at all.

Bob is finished now so thought i'd throw some pictures on here and see what you guys think.

What do you guys think!?

I need 1st gen body style bumper ideas. the other bumpers i've made don't look as good on this body as they do on the tacoma/honcho body style

I will post pictures tomorrow on how i have my shock hoops so that the body sits so low on the frame just in case anybody is wondering how it doesn't look like it has a 2 foot body lift haha.

Okay guys im in need of some help... i need some tips on what the best and strongest way to build my bumpers sliders etc. the first bumper i made was wayyyy to heavy because it was solid tubing but i am horrible at brazing and soldering. i want to go hollow tubing route and braze everything i just need help on the best way to braze it. please help i want to get the bumpers done with this thing so i can move on with it. if anybody can help me with brazing or shoot any other ideas my way it would be super helpful. thanks guys i want to keep updating you on this but i really havent done much sense my last posts...

I have experience TIG welding, MIG welding and now brazing. I bought this torch from Home Depot...

Bernzomatic TS8000KC Premium Torch Kit-331044 at The Home Depot

And this brazing kit (when it was $29).

Lincoln Electric Safety-Silv 45 2-Piece Brazing Kit-45KPOP at The Home Depot

It's really simple, you have to put as little amount of flux as you need, heat the steel til it just starts to turn red and dab the solder in. Takes about 10 seconds from start to finish to do a joint. It's a piece of cake!

Okay thanks for the info. I have a tig welder at my house just need to get it ready and I might try it out too. Do y oily u use hollow tubing when you braze?

So here is the bumper plan. What do you guys think? I can make more if other people want some too!"thumbsup"
