First Gen Toyota SCX-10

How does that rear suspension setup work for you? I was thinking of angling my shocks in towards the tranny plate for a little more articulation but I never thought of trying it like that. Is it stable?

It works great i think! Haven't been able to actually drive it like this yet but it gave me more articulation than the old setup and will still droop down to the old ride height. And it was free the way i did it so that is a plus too!

Finally got the new Novak system coming in the mail today should have it by Thursday I'm hoping! Upgraded to the goat 3s for just a little more money and hopefully this one won't crap out on me like the last one.

Can it do this with the new shock set up?
Cause this is some impressive side hilling!

Oh it easily will side hill this that wasn't even to the Max for the side hill. And should be able to do this easily now because it sits even lower now.

Finally! got the motor and new esc all installed and ready to go.

Now its time to get some pictures and videos of it wheeling with my friends!

its been a while! first of all i have the measurements for the rear links if anyone was wondering. the top links are the same and the bottom links are 3 1/4 inches from the ends of the link not including the screw on link ends just the solid link itself. and also i have pictures to explain how to do the spring setup i have for the rear that works with the drop bed.

Step one. you need to remove your old spring hangers from the rear. save one because you use it to make the new triangulated spring hanger in the very back.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49839190@N06/7843043822/" title="IMAG0685 by Donnie896, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7269/7843043822_85b77afc9e_z.jpg" width="640" height="383" alt="IMAG0685"></a>

Step two. What i did was ground off the actual spring hanger hoop all the way until all i had left was the three bolt holes and the body mount pin part.
then if you can see i drilled though the cross member in the very center and ran a long bolt all the way through it to connect the new spring hanger to the frame.
<a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/49839190@N06/7843042820/" title="IMAG0686 by Donnie896, on Flickr"><img src="http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8304/7843042820_16063c5b9f_z.jpg" width="640" height="383" alt="IMAG0686"></a>

Step three. then you can go ahead and take the small bolts out of the axle ends and what i did was got longer ones and put a spacer in between the shock end and the axle so the shocks wouldn't get binded up at a weird angle. then just screw the springs into the ends of the axle and then together on your new spring mount. then all you have to do is cut down the body mount until you get the desired ride height. that is it and it is totally free!! hope this helps good luck guys! PM me if you have any questions and i would be glad to answer.
