New 502 MS truggy build! This will use scx10 axles with 1.9 tires. Wheel base will be around 12". Rear cage will be bolt on as you will see in the pictures. Hoping to have this complete by may '14 for Tombstone & Cards G6. Feedback is always encouraged, thanks for checking it out!

This first set of pictures is the main structure. Its made from 1/4 brake line, as I fill in and add tubing it will be 3/16" or smaller

How the heck did you get such tight bends without crimping the brake line Ben?

I use a bender similar to this. It will bend 90*plus without pinching. Got it at habor freight under $10

I was able to get some more done last night. I got some of the support bracing in and shock mount brackets installed. Only need a few more support tubes and lower cage. I haven't decided if I'm going to cut the ladder frame yet.

looking great. Wish I had the tools to weld one up. I like that you decided to make your own shock mounts Makes it look more scale. Keep it up. Im gonna keep my eye on this.

I think the fabrication on the rear cage is complete. I wasnt sure if I was going to mount it to the scx10 frame or chop it, well I maned up. Also nailed down the spare location. This truck should point out very high when completed. Time to start link mounts and rear body mounts

Nice work. Glad you cut the frame, looks good.
Are you building this for a specific discipline? G6, scale comp, do it all?

Looks great. I would make one addition though. It would add some diagonal supports going towards the middle on the front of the cage. Needs more triangulation:ror:

It's going to be set up for G6, the motor is a little hot for scale comp. HH 3100 brushless.

Parts are starting to come in! Axle and links this week. I have beef tubes on the way as well. Standard tube for the rear and long for the front. If anyone has done the xr mod with the long beef tubes, post up ideas/comments on mounting how they turned out.

What pinion are you running? I run 60/12 and am out of adjustment on my stock motor plate. Not sure I could even fit a 62 spur on there.

Nice work, subscribed. love the tube work. I agree with alpine4x4 it looks a little empty.

I haven't done a test fit, I was planning on 62/12 but now I'll have to see if it fits. I was have major heat problems with the 54/12 so I just grabbed the biggest I could find

I'll grab a few sizes so I can test for optimal heat range. I wanted to slow it down a bit. That Holmes motor would make the wroncho do wheelies down the street and it was 10lbs
