Aye fellas!

I heard about a hobby shop that was about 2 hours away and it supposedly a big hobby shop with out door track and what not. So, I went. Sure enough it was decent shop. I came across this truck made by Electrixrc and Ruckus is the model of the truck, I said to myself, $129.00 with spektrum 2.4ghz radio and a sr200 rx is not a bad deal. I gave it a thought and figured to buy it for bashing around and have a little fun with it.

It's a 2wd RTR with a stock 20T motor and 18 motor pinion. it's not too bad. It also comes with 1800 Mah battery which don't last long at all. lol. thinking about getting a battery around the 5000Mah area. The transmission is open diffs, I'm thinking about locking them if its possible. Any suggestions?

The 1st thing I did to the truck was ditch the huge monster truck wheels and tires in favor or 2.2 wheels from losi and unknown tires I had laying around with firm foam. besides who wouldn't want a bead lock wheels on a fast truck? Lock your tires down instead of gluing! Then, I ditched the thin oil that was in the shocks for Losi 40wt all around, that seem to help the damping and the rebound. i ordered a 15t motor and 19t motor pinion for shits and giggles before I go with brushless set up.

Is there an forum for 2wd trucks/buggy? I know this is a fairly new company and there is not aftermarket support for it yet.

Oh, and the body gotta go soon. lol.

I would need some advice about a brushless set up. Is 3800kv would do the job? I'm not sure if it's 2 or 4 pole. But heres the company offer them in and was wondering if its worth the buy.

Fuze 1/10 3800Kv ESC/MotorCombo (DYN3754C): ECX RC

Anyway, heres are some pics....

Aftering bashing around and fine tune the suspension, I think I got it all dialed in for now. It stopped bottoming out when taking a hard landing from jumps. the rear is a little stiffer and the front is a tad softer. I also changed the body as well.

Stay away from that brushless motor, I had 2 burn up on me. One lasted till the first pull of the throttle (wheels off the ground). The 2nd one made it through half a battery pack. Save your money for something better!

What your suggestion, I'm looking around for a good set up for a good price, I know that not always possible. What's the differnece between 2 and 4 poles?

My LHS has that brand in stock, both the handful of cars and replacement parts. I've heard they're fairly durable for the price. Suggestion for a brushless setup, how about a Velineon system? Fairly cheap and 3S capable, not to mention it's not afraid of a lil water.

Ive been bashing it all day today and even took jumps at the local skate park. This thing is freaking tough. There was some times when I thought I landed it wrong and it looked like I broke something, nope. truck was fine. I changed the body earlier today..

The whole ECX line has been pretty good for the HTU I work for, problems with electronics are minimal (and that Spektrum set up is a huge improvent over the AM system!), haven't seen too many break and usually those breaks would be cause by wrecks that would tear up other vehicles just as bad. You might look at the PreMounted Proline Trencher/Desparato combos for the front if the 2wd Pedes and get the metal gears for the trans if you plan on going brushless.. They even offer aluminum shock for these guys!

Can you show me the shocks? I already tore up my spur gear today. lol. From holding the throttle while in air. I already have a new one, thanks to a LHS. The 2.2 tires and wheels are doing pretty good, I can see the tires balloon up in turns lol. Waiting for my 15t motor to come in.

Here's some picture of the stripped spur gear. IMO, it held up pretty good. It was actually my fault that the spur gear got stripped. Buying the whole kit was actually cheaper to buy over a spur gear alone. Now, i wonder who makes a metal spur gear....
