So I decided to upgrade my power plant in my SCX10, so instead of buying a high torque motor I'll try out the dual motor idea, been wanting to do it since I came across the level3 rc dual motor plate last year. So far I have one motor and waiting for the other RC4WD 35 turn motor to come in, I'm going to get another AE-2 ESC and run dual ESC's off two, 2 cell batteries, obviously not together. So far this is what it looks like with two motors together when I stick my Axial 27 turn in there. Eventually when I get some money coming in, I'm thinking about doing a dual Traxxas Velineon 3500 setup.

I have a problem though, I don't think it's binding, feels pretty lose but the screws come awfully close to the spur gear plate, and in the pictures the screws sit flush with the motor mount but mine don't, like it has not been tapped all the way, oh well it seems to run ok like this so far knock on wood.

The AE-2 could not run two motors, well when it comes down to the math at least, two 35 turns which is what I'm doing I've been told; 35/2 comes down to 17 turns and the limit is 19 turns on the ESC.

Now I've heard people running two motors off one ESC but I've heard people not have success with two motors off the AE-2, I've heard two 45 turns or higher will work with the AE-2.

what uhh.... whatchya up to? those motors are different turns? up for some spur shredding are we?

well how does it run? Shred the spur yet? got video? Can it wheelie mister? I saw these 2 motor mounts on ebay- but maybe not as nice as yours and I been wondering what good 2 motors are if they are both running the same speed? hhmmm? idfk? ,,,,,,

I like going all out bat shit crazy with the crawlers. 8)

Runs great! When I'm going through mud when the bottom motor gets gunk in the com the top one pushes it through so I don't have to kick it every time. Nope, haven't shredded a spur gear, I've only shredded the spur gear when I had the Traxxas VXL in it two years ago. Two motors won't garner more speed, it adds a little bit more torque, like for instance, when I'm coming up to an angle if the wheels hit a rock sometimes the RC4WD motor just does not have the power or torque and will bind up, two motors puts less stress on one motor and now that angle is approachable.

Later on, I'm going to put a VXL on the top motor mount, and have one 35t for crawling and one bat shit crazy motor, obviously not run them in tandem, so if I want to crawl over rocks with precision speed I have it with the 35t and when I come up to mud, take the body off, bring out the allen wrench loosen one motor and unmesh it, mesh the other motor and now I have my mud truck.
