Most comp trucks are running behind the axle servo so low profile is better... im not going to give any input on what is best since my luck has been mixed.

AM32 escs....i do like the rhino but when i got to thinking about it, all my servo failures were when running that esc and reefs recommend against them for that reason. Could be a coincidence.

Comp driveshafts its hard to argue against dlux. Don't have to oil them every run either.

Never would have thought that AM32 could cause possible servo issues, good to know
Guess i should clarify...Many of the am32 escs are just reflashed and slightly modified drone escs. Some did not have voltage suppression circuitry built in. Fingers were pointed between different manufacturers on what caused servo failures.

The rhinos i believe were actually built as a surface esc and do have the huge caps built in (80a version anyway).

Im not saying they caused my failures, but all 3 were while i was running that esc. I switched escs on one truck and it has been good. I was too lazy to do my other truck and it has been running an 80a rhino and rs700v2 for over a year. One holmes did die on that truck though.

Holmes indicated it's more of a battery issue than an esc (low mah 4s batteries specifically). It just happens that the comp crowd that commonly uses am32 escs, also uses small 4s packs, and direct power servos.
