CR-01 Build Manual avaiable at Tamiyausa.com

Someone beat you to it.

yupp, thank god it's not a competition :) I even wrote it in my post, but just thought it would helpful to post it in a new thread, so it would be easier to find for all the info-hungry-kit-slaughters out there.

steps 35 and 36 show that this thing comes with LED's for the headlights and the tail lights! nice touch!

no it doesn't. they are just showing you how to install them. i looked at the parts list, and they don't show the LED's;-)

BUT...

it does happen to include the rest of the parts for the dampers to make them full coilover shocks so you don't have to use that stupid assed canti set-up tamiya always tries to put on everything...

DOH!

That transmission would make a really scale transfer case depending on how big it actually is, it's hard to tell from the manual. It would even be easy to mount to the frame or skid plate

It dosen't include the springs for the shocks(coilovers),But the shocks are from the TXT-1 parts bin.You could mod the shock location, run the shocks without springs, ditch the cantilever and leave the coils where they are.Might work, just a thought.

The cantilevers actually work quite well. The light buckets and mounting for the led's is a nice touch as well. I did a quick trip to the local source (aka radio shack) grabbed two 5mm led's, added a pico switch that I had and voila.....working headlights that are switchable from my radio!
