colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

Since I am not from here and I know little of the trail/hiking scene and where to go, I would like to spend some time with the little guy this weekend and make it a fun day on the rocks at Palmer P9 "Devil's Playground". He enjoys bashing his "jeep" as he drives off rocks - the trails are fun for me but all the walking still gets to him. Will be doing a lot of photo ops and general messin' around.

Next week I would love to find a creek bed/trail to drive...put Daxten in his "rain boots" and let him run wild...what say you? Anyone from the area that can point the way next week?

Still in Georgia....well near the border of Tennessee. Got in to the hotel around 1am, hit super down pours and high winds most of the way, took forever!!! Will be staying over night in Kansas tonight then will be hitting the Springs sometime Saturday.

I may be in CO Springs Area on Monday (7/14). Might stop by Palmer Park and do some scaling... Any recommendations on areas? I lived in Divide, CO 2007-2011 and used to scale down there, but would have a hard time remembering exactly where we used to scale...

If anyone could give me some info and/or wants to meet up, that would be great.

So it looks like if you take highway 24 to 285. Instead of the taking right to go to Breckinridge you go left. Only about a two hour drive. It's going to be in the San Isabel national Forest so camping will be plenty. Who ever is interested in going to the event and tent camping let me know. We will find a nice big area for the club members to rally around.

Soco rc crawlers "Tour of the springs" takes us back to the beautiful Palmer park this Sunday at ten. We will be climbing the back side of lazyland in carnage canyon down through the north side of "Horse poop valley". An awesome little trail system on the north side of the park. We will not have a club crawl next Sunday as we are all going to the G6 recon event in Buena Vista the weekend of the 19th. If anyone is planning to go or is interested in joining us around the campfire that weekend? Give us a shout and we will save ya a camping spot for your tent. :).

Well, I just called Pit-bull and it doesn't look like I will have my "Growlers" for the G6 on the 19th.....sigh.

Sooooo, I'll be sporting a good old set of proven "Rippers" on the G6 at the G6...if my paint comes in this Friday. Still waiting on decals from Rogue GRFX...don't think I'll have them on time either. Geez, can my day get any better?
