Come to think of it, I don't have much experience on a track with multiple other people. I'm thinking everybody with a micro should bring them so we can see how crowded the track feels.

For sure bring your 1/24 th scale rally car. I should have my stadium truck Friday. We want to keep it close as to scale as possible.

Love your doc ... he's just letting everyone know we're #1. I'm almost done with my SCX10 build and am looking at getting some of the cool accessories ... like a driver. I've only seen one site that sold a man and I dont believe it stated its scale. Where is there a good site to buy accessories from?
If my build is done by this weekend, I'm hoping to join you guys with something other than my Berg. Are you still planning on going to Palmer Sunday? The weather forecast is kind of sh**y for Sunday with the high in the low 40s ... any thoughts on making it for Saturday instead?
Hope to see you guys this weekend with my 1st scaler .... can't wait! 8)

Damn guys...oh wait the doc has a message. OK he said take two of these and bills in the mail! Lol...sorry he's being sensitive.

Awesome^^^^ glad your getting her together. As for scale goodies I like hobby lobby the miniature section. For a driver you got a few choices...walmart\toy r us or even a dollar store. If you want a lightwieght drive look at RPP hobby i think they have blow molded lexan drivers. If you wanna get out to palmer to test the rig give me a buzz.

Anyone have experience in making plaster Paris scenery. Been educating myself on the various techniques. It seems that this will be the best and strongest way to make a track durable enough to take the constant pounding of the cars. Seems like a very easy and forgiving process. And is very durable. 25 pound bag of plaster is 9 bucks, they also make what is called plaster clothe. (Like at the doctors for cast) that has plaster on it and you just add water. Get ready for some crazy ideas. I want to make soco rec area as authentic to scale as possible.

Might have my wraiths new power plant in tonight or tomorrow we'll see how it goes tho all I got left is solder the esc and motor and throw in my aluminum links then I'll be grrrrrate

sent from my 5th scale

I'm programming my esc and was wondering what does one normally on a scaler for things like drag break, max break ect? On my go-fast cars I normally go on the low side if any at all ... on my crawler I go MAX; seems like a scaler would be somewhere in between? 8)

My Wraith has a 27T axial motor with 87/16 gears and my drag brake was at 20% and not holding. I bumped it up to 70% last night but have not been able to test it yet. Some guys are running 100% but I think they are running Brushless systems and need more than a brushed motor.

I think between 50-70% with a brushed motor will be a good balance of battery efficiency and brake. Consider this....we arent rock crawling - we're trail blazing...you want some movement with a drag brake.

This is true. Depends on what motor and esc you're running, even the same motors act differently. I'm running my mamba max pro and roc412 on 70% and in my opinion is perfect for my truck. You also have to consider your weight of your rig. Lighter rigs: less drag. Heavier rigs: a little more. But 50 to about 80 is probably ball park
