colorado springs weekly comps/trail runs?

Aloha everyone. We are planning a G6-style scale event at Palmer in a week  and just wanted to get everyones input.

This will be a "shakedown run" open to everyone, before the big RECON G6 Challenge we have scheduled for Saturday and Sunday May 18th. and 19th. near Deckers.

I just need some help with a sweet spot at Palmer for scalers since I haven't spent enough time there to know the lay of the land.

Aside form that we will handle the set-u, registration and clean-up, prizes and whatnot "thumbsup"

Post up and let me know what you guys think

Parking are 9 (I think) is known as "Crawlers Paradise" don't know if you can get a better spot than that. It's the first pull off after the dog park when entering from Mazeland.

There are several good spots for a scale event at Palmer park. Your best bet is a place we locals nick named crawlers paradise @ p9 first left at dog park. There is pretty big parking lot with plenty of trails from there. Also just off the southern trail head at the parking lot there is a hidin area we call devils playground which is Very wicked place for a scale comp. google Palmer park trails there is a nice PDF map of the trail heads I speak of. Give me a p m if ya need help I'm down with getting the soco boys out to help out with what we can.

Right on guys, thanks for the info.

I believe I've been to the P9 area once for a Winter series comp, but didn't get a chance to scout the area too much. I'll get all the details up in a new thread and hope to see everyone there :)

Alrighty, If I'm looking at the right location; turn off maizeland rd on to paseo rd. head towards the dog park and take a left up the gravel road and head to the parking lot with the tree right in the middle?
