Chicklet's*Axial EXO TERRA*Build***PICS***

If you cant find any pins a nail and a scroll/band saw/other sharp cutting tool and some vise grips will hold you over

EXO looks awesome, I had the same problem on my sc10, blitz, b44, etc

Thanks Colby!

Well a quick update...I got everything dialed in. New wheels and tires....THEN BAM! My husband ran into the passenger wheel/tire going about 30+mph in his Slash (Exo was at a stand still). Sad to say that it bent the hell out of the recalled button head screw that the control arm rides on. Looking for the post recall parts is going to be loads of fun. I think for the time being, I will convert the front back to the pre-recall setup. The collision also tore the side panels out from the screws and tore both front shocks.

Ugh I'm so sad!!!

and of course, the slash was fine, right. i would be mad, not sad. pics of the carnage please.:flipoff:

Yep, slash is perfectly fine.

Dang! Gotta wonder if the EXO is jinxed.
I think mine is :x

I bent the bolt back in so I could bring the control arm down and take out what was left of the shock...it looked like a spaghetti noodle at first. The control arm did not take any damage. Now I wonder about the rear that broke on me.

I really liked these when I first saw them, but now I'm starting to wonder if they are worth the money if they break that easy

that easily? it took a direct hit to the tire from a slash. and from the sound of things it seems the slash hit at its strongest point. that was no light breakage. anything would have been taken out like that.

i dont know, i am having second thoughts too. i have on purposely ran slash's into each other like that before and the both went unscathed. i also think mainly that this is axial's first real non crawler. i think over time they are going to listen the the public and change the exo over time and make it better. all of you(no offense) are rushing and not waiting.:ror:

Worked on the Exo today. Got the bent pin removed and replaced both with the pre-recalled pin setup. I swear it was like a wrecked car, "here is the estimate...there maybe more damage when we take it apart." UGH! Found that the other control arm pin was slightly bent and the driver side differential tab mount was broken. I was able to get it glued back on for now. The driver side shock was wasted as well.

Also added some LEDs and slash big bore shocks. Just need to button her all up tomorrow.
