Car Stereo sub amps

In my semi i have a Kenwood excelon XXV-01D deck feeding a pair of excelon amps. 250x4 feeding coaxs and a 300x2 feeding a pair of Fosgate 10's. It's all mid/late 90's gear, the deck and amps are designed to be together. The deck controls the bass boost directly sans external know bs.

I had a 1980 BMW 5 series. From the factory it had speakers in the kick panels, which is sweet. Then, I had a Bazooka 8 in the footwell of the passenger side. There was still so much room some people couldn't touch the tube with their feet. I used to blast Siamese Dream on my way to college. Maybe it was a 6.5"…

The seats went way back. Cool car. 528e. European. Gauges in kilometers. 2.8 liter straight six. Wood handle shift knob. Hand crank to open sunroof. Built in weed shelf on the dash.

Cars ride fly with the booming system.

Actually have an 8" dvc bazooka in my wife's xb fed by an old fosgate 301s. Sounds good in her toaster.

Bought an 8" bazooka tube today to chuck behind the back seat of the ute.
Goes ok but not 350 dollars ok. Should have bought some shallow 10 or
12 inch jbl subs and built custom enclosures. Thats what happens when your lazy.
Bit of sound deadening around the place and i'll be happy with it.
Put in a new pioneer deck too.

Does sound good enough though for what i want.

I remember having two twelve inch subs that would break mirrors,
hurt your chest, mess with your heart and stuff up your vision. Bit
old for that now. :ror:

And on this thread Sparkomatic GE50 car Equalizer - Tapeheads Tape, Audio and Music Forums our old friend Stu, microgoat is on there. Old Busted Hotness. :ror:

2 dc audio 18s Dvc 2ohms. Pioneer deck. Nvx 3k amp at .5 ohms. one yellow top.325amp alt. /0 welding cable. Amd some bullshit mids and highs a bullshit 1500w amp. And looking to upgrade.

W6 jl audios is what I liked back then when I was into systems , I had w3's paired with a punch150 . one of my friends ran 2 15s Cerwin Vega with a punch 75, that bumped, also , was in a VW panel Bus 66..... Lol

I've piddled with car audio since working to put stuff in layaway in high school. Worked at a couple shops late 90's-00. Everything I drive has some form of little stereo in it. What's pretty amazing to me is how far your money goes now. It's pretty crazy being able to put a whole stereo in your truck for what a sub amp cost back then. I have the little ppi amp in the first post, and the little 4 channel to match. It's crazy to have that kind of power that fits under the seat of a frontier with room to spare. I really like the mini audiopipe amps too. I've put a ton in for people and they've always been pleased. I had the little 4080 under the seat running 6.5 components and 2 8's 2ohm bridged in a foxbody hatch, it always impressed that tiny amp ran all that, and sounded like it did. I really like the pioneer ts-d series speakers. I'd easily put them up against anything in their price and above. they recently changed the crossover on the components and they don't really sound the same, but the coaxial are awesome.

Not into this any more and amazed my wears still work.

But in the day i used 1 PG 500 ZX I think they was called the white ones at least for each of the tree 15" subs.
For the higher pitched stuff i used a couple of Denon DCA 600

The stuff bled the battery's dry pretty fast ;-)
Did not comp just a case of stupid boys will be stupid boys :ror:

One of the subs my friend have, and then i have some of the power grid like caps wires splitters and fuses and what not.

Might go large again if i will a little lotto money to buy a car that can hold a proper audio setup, but current car have plenty in carrying me and my 4 to 8 cameras and my phone and tablet and a scaler in the back.

early 90's when I went through stage the of wanting the massive stereo. I used lots of different stuff during that phase. Blaupunkt, Kenwood, Orion, Rockford, Alpine, JBL, sony.... just thinking of the money I spent on it :oops:...

lol dynomat'ing panels of an old '83 Riviera to try and keep it from rattling itself to death from four 12's.

ah, memories.

I never bought from there, but I would get the Crutchfield catalog. Anyone else ever get the catalog, or have bought from them ?

I have bought from Crutchfield in years past and was very pleased with customer service. Thanks a lot, now I miss my 4 infinity 12's...
