I have a trx 4 bronco and I enjoy the truck, I want to build a kit. Which kits are worth investing in? I’ve been looking at the element enduro kit or something like the scx10 iii?

Since you already have a truck with portal axles, I would say Element or SSD Trail King.

If I buy another kit, it'll be one of the cheaper Vanquishs, unsure of straight or portal though.
If the Vanquish wasn't available, I'd be all over the SSD though.

I second the SSD Trail King!

She's one bad unit!

Hard to go wrong with any of them.

Vanquish kits are my favorite, good build process, good material quality, and the final product is a great truck.

Haven’t built a trail king yet, so can’t comment there.

Element builders kit and the scx10.2 rbk are cool, but are fairly basic so the assembly is over quick.

Scx10.3 is a fun build also

Nothing wrong with either trx4 kits for that matter

Are the vanquish’s easy to work on ?

I have a Capra, SSD TK and VP Pro and Ultra complete and a Phoenix Portal in-process and a Phoenix non-Portal still in the box.

The SSD TK and all the Vanquish are all very easy to work on. I like the TK a lot and in no way would I criticize it, but the Vanquish products are a step above the TK (IMHO).

So you would recommend the vanquish kit overall ? I was just reading there over complicated compared to the elements which are simple and easy to work on.

I can see where a less complicated design might make it easier to work on. I was referring to parts fit, fastener access, etc., which is a different take on 'easier to work on.'

So then yes, the Element and SSD TK might be more suitable for you.

The element chassis is definitely more basic, but I wouldn’t call a vp kit over complicated.

In many ways they do a great job of simplifying, you will find the same length fastener used for many components, similar bearing sizes, etc.

Okay, the vfd twin has a bit going on, but you can lock the optional functions out and run it like anything else, or swap it for a simple vfd, stealth x, 3-gear, etc.

Just depends what you are looking to accomplish. If you want a basic platform to custom build off of, element or a 10.2 would be good. If you want a very well thought out complete kit that you can assemble, paint and run, go Vp, or even 10.3.

By complete kit I mean body, wheels/tires, inner fenders, bumpers, interior, etc.

Just my opinion

+1 for the SSD Trail King.
dont have a VP Kit, but do have some of their gear and no doubt the kits are just as good.
As I've done 2 trail kings (1 coverted to leafers that I traded before I finished it up), my next build will be an element or a VP. Maybe the Ultra.

But Im tight on cash so it may be a Phoenix or another Trail King.

All of these kits are solid options and it really depends on what you are looking for in your build. I have built all 3 and i like each one for diffent things and different areas to crawl
