Brushed or brushless for new project?

I haven't had any cogging issues with my Revolver using the Mamba Monster X with an ESC throttle curve which should make it easier to spot. For that matter nobody who has tried my rig has noticed any cogging. Everybody comments on the smooth start and many comment on the noise. The Revolver works just like the one shown in the videos.

Mine definitely cogs on start up and slow speeds.

I don't do any competitions just personal recreation and where I crawl there is no mud or water. My #1 TRX4 was running a Mamba X and 1406-2280 and it was OK but spendy until it started cogging out of the blue. Three of my TRX4s are running the HW1080 and HH Crawlmaster Pro 550 12t and that is my favorite setup. VERY smooth start up and plenty of speed for my taste. The #5 TRX4 Sport is running the HW1080 and Trailmaster Sport 550 21t and while it is not quite as smooth startup it is still a very nice motor for $20.

I had one of the HH Revolver 1800KV motors in my #1 truck but the motor noise was just too annoying to me so I moved that motor to my boat where the noise is not as big a deal out on the lake.
