Brake, Reverse and Driving Light controller $30

Doh! :oops: So sorry I did not pay closer attention. I was focused on the functions I wanted to use: reverse and tail lights. Thank you for the great products and support! "thumbsup"

This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen in a minute. Does this unit have a ground? I see two pins for each function. For example, brake lights, are both pins for the + leg of the two LED’s? If this is th3 case and the unit draws power from the rx, how do I tie the GND back to the unit? Thanks!

Hi Lou,

Good questions.
You might consider the negative connection to the receiver and the ESC as ground. That comes from the servo plugs that connect to the receiver and ESC. As for the outputs, the positive connection is common to all the LEDs. That positive happens to come from the red wire of the servo plugs that go to the receiver and ESC.
The controller uses a transistor to provide a negative connection (ground, if you like) to the output that it is turning on.
To connect two lights for the brake/tail lights, I would do the following.
Use a red LED and a 220 ohm resistor on one leg. Then connect that to the brake/tail light output of the controller. But you want two brake lights, so make the same LED+resistor and also connect that to the output. This way, both lights with series resistor are in parallel with that one output.

The + from both are tied together, then go to the pin with the red marker.
The - from both are tied together, then go to the pin under the red marker.
