Brake, Reverse and Driving Light controller $30

Just a little update. I have been trying different ways to come up with a smaller, hopefully easier to use circuit.
This is how it looks now:

Great little controller

I'm a freak when it comes to wanting to light things up and was searching for several days. Most of the controllers I found either had several functions that I didn't care to have and or connectors that I wouldn't be easily able to mate up with. This fit the bill perfectly, small and offered just what I wanted.

I bought an extra radio control box for my truck to house the additional controller and connections. I am still using the original controller that came with my truck. It now runs the headlights and front bumper lights and my side marker lights instead of the offroad lights and tail lights.

Installation of the controller was quick and easy. A lot easier then running all the wires and soldering up all the LED's. I rewired and relocated the white led's from the offroad lights on the bumper to the headlight positions in the body. I replaced those lights with blue led's that are now connected to the front connection on the new controller. These only come on when going forward.

I removed and relocated the original rear red bumper led's to the rear of the body for my tail/brake lights and replaced the rear bumper lights with white led's for my back up lights, all connected to the new controller.

I soldered micro deans connectors to servo lead wires to plug in to the mating ends of the controller and to allow connection between the body and chassis. All of my connections are at the rear of the truck and rear of body. This allows me to still lift off the body without having to reach in to disconnect/reconnect everytime and to keep my wires short so as to not get entangled with anything causing problems. I used 22gauge wire, however if I was to do this again or ever change things up I will use 24 gauge wire, 22 was a little bigger then it needs to be.

Love the controller, have already recommended it to a friend and will so in the future.

have you thought about making something like this but for turn signals? it'd be sweet to have functional blinking turn signals that blink when you turn the wheel. i'd definitely be interested when i start building my scaler!

I made turn signals a long time ago. There was very little interest in them when I introduced them on another forum. Should have tried here I guess. I can build them up again if you guys want them.

I've made another design change.
The software has been updated so that the jumpers are no longer needed. When it powers up, it accepts the throttle position as neutral, so the brake lights will come on after it flashes each output a couple of times.
Also, I've added an unswitched output. This gives you a place to plug in your head lights or other "always on" lights.

This is how the new version of the controller looks:

The top row of pins (that have the coloured markers) goes to positive of your LEDs.

The vertical pair of pins on the far left is always powered so it could be used to supply power to the headlights.
