Hoping to get some insight.

I've quite a few crawlers, but nothing too scale.
A Boom Racing D90 Defender, fully buit, RTR and used came up for sale recently at a price i couldn't let slip.

It's my my first real hard body crawler and first 1.55 rig as well.

But i have a few questions.

1: What parts are the same as the RC4WD Gelande D90? (Chassis rail / transfer case etc)

2: Any recommended upgrades?

3: Any reliability issues or tips to prevent breaking parts?

5: I've noticed the spur gear has a fair bit of wobble and it's also a cross cut style spur. What other spurs can fit, with a conventional straight cut?

6: Is a wobble on the spur common?

7: What is the smallest pinion and largest spur combo that will fit?

8: Is there an online manual anywhere? I couldn't find anything.

Gotta be honest, when I read the thread title I was kinda hoping you were going to fill me in on this Boom racing chassis. Sorry I can't help much. It seems odd that there is no digital information about it.

Seems like a cheap gamble to get a stock plastic spur and see if that fits your truck. OR If you can accurately measure the spacing between the holes then I could compare it to numerous axial/rc4wd/associated/kimbrough spurs I have ad spares to try and find you a winner.

Those goofy diagonal cut spurs are the devil. They side load the crap out of your top shaft bearings and try to slide in/out when going from throttle to brake/reverse.
