Bodyless chat...AM I THE ONLY GUY?

A unibody does not run a body, therefore it is bodiless. I promise you that you will not run anything smaller than that at any competition.

This will not help you and like I said, I promise you will never run anything smaller than the size listed. If you want to call it a body then now you have a bodied rig and it must be much larger, good work man.

unibody meaning frame NOT seperate assembly from body. as far as r/c goes, its not running a lexan shell body but a properly paneled tube or delrin/plastic assembly designed to look like a competition setup.

will you guys quit it??:lmao:

As a friend, marshal, judge ,rule committee member , Anything less than that and you are waisting yours and our time. "thumbsup"

Alright, but there are no measurements for unibody in the rules:)

You could easily add
rule
2.1.4.2.1 unibody vehicles must reach same mininume measurements as
bodiless vehicles (see rule 2.1.4.1.7)

Now that you have put the word body in there, you'll have to go with the bodied measurements. "thumbsup"

:lmao:

Its a different vehicle type that a a bodied or bodiless
I mean when you look at the rules there are clearly 3 body types

Body, bodiless, unibody each should have thier own requirements
why unibody doesnt I have no idea?

The intent of the rule was to use the bodiless measurments, but now that you brought up to be a unibody, the word body makes it go with the body measurments."thumbsup"

 Wow. :lmao:

Seems pretty cut and dry to me, run a body use appropriate set of rules, no body, I may be going out on a limb here but I'd say you go by the bodiless rules.

You answered your own question, are you tweeking.

You are splitting hairs on something that you are actually wrong on. What you are talking about is similar to the original rockshow chassis that was one to help define the term "bodiless".........it was cab and chassis in one piece. That is the definition of bodiless. Stop wasting everyone's time with trying to split hairs. Build it to the bodiless dimensions.

I promise you will never run anything smaller than the size listed. If you want to call it a body then now you have a bodied rig and it must be much larger, good work man.

Exactly.......good luck showing up to a National level event with something smaller. I am sure you will enjoy sitting and watching everyone else compete.

Getting back on track. Does anyone run tubers on comp rigs any more? I used to build them as a vendor back a couple of years ago, but I don't think I've seen one pop up at a big event in a while. Then again, I don't follow the comp scene too closely.

Wow, this kid is taking it over the top.

All I ask, is that the rules committee consider reducing the body size (a little bit) for 2011. I saw illegal Hardlines pass tech at the national LCQ event, and if the rules were corrected slightly, this wouldnt be a problem.

Note: I don't run a hardline.

That being said, if you were to reduce the body size requirements, the next body to come out would just push that new limit. I still believe the dimensions for each style should be closer though.

I CAN NOT stand the T1E/beatlejuice/bodyless look.

Am i the only one? it seams as thoguh all the MOA guys are running them. i think they look liek a dogs breakfast...absolute rubbish.

Am i the only one. Why is everyone runnign them?
Well, I think they are a little ugly too. So I'm going for the record of the ugliest bodiless rig yet.

I dunno wtf this thing is ^^^^ but its absolute what-the-hell-ness, really makes me like it!!
As to the topic, i hate bodies, and bodiless equally. It takes a nicely done one of EITHER to look good. you don't have to sacrifice looks for performance. No matter what you run. In general, i don't like bodiless.
But the rigs that have caused the most bruised chins from jaw dropping, have been bodiless. I have never used a bodiless chassis, and im not against givin it a whirl. But if i find little difference in performance, i WILL decide based on looks.
