billj's first MOA build

Looks good!

You should have let me know on the rear weight holders. I would have/will be willing to switch those out to white (as long as they're not used).

Thanks Erik, looks like i wont even use them (for now) . Its pretty well balanced without any weight in the rear.

Man, the rig looks good, its been a while since I checked up on it. I see your still rockin my caps and tray mount"thumbsup" I may finally be getting my XR10 back together soon, my crazy summer is winding down and I have had some time for RC stuff lately. I have been out of the loop for a few months, I hadn't even seen any white UGC Viper chassis yet. Now I really want to get my XR back together, maybe that's what I will do tonite unless I have a long "honeydew" (Honey Do_______) list when I get home.

The shock caps and motor guard/battery tray have been beat to hell and just keep working great. I haven't had a problem at all with either part. Its gonna be winter there before you get a crawler going. Thanks again for the great parts"thumbsup"

Its a good thing I have a nice rock pile in my basement"thumbsup" I ust picked up a Wraith so I am having fun w/ that, broke it first time out but hopefully it will be fixed by the weekend, waitin on parts. I also had some fun w/ my F'OFF'ish SCX10 earlier in the year but the giant motor broke some stuff I haven't gotten around to fixing yet, I am a busy procrastinator, not a good combination.

Had our first South Fl. State comp of the season last Sunday.I did ok, finished third. I hadn't driven my Viper in over a month before that. Family obligations wouldn't allow it. I sure could tell, im rusty as hell.

Wadded it up on the finals course. Ended up breaking a proto lower chassis plate (not the production Carbon Fiber plate)

Well got the proto Viper together finally. Im lagging behind the other UGC team drivers. Just getting over 2 weeks of bronchitis. So anyway the new lower plates/skid and more rounded top cab look great.

This is very close to what the new production chassis will look like, with a small change to the skid. And of course CF side plates"thumbsup"Will get in some testing this weekend:ror:

Well had a local comp, didnt do to well. Got 5th out of 6. I didn't crawl for about a month and it really showed. Really, really rusty.

But on a good note the new chassis did well. Tons of ground clearance. Sidehilled well. My problems for the day were mostly driver related. I still need to do some tuning on ride height and shock location. But all in all the new Viper worked well"thumbsup"
