billj's first MOA build

I told you he would have an answer for you ;-)

Nice driving yesterday Bill, you are starting to get used to the rig and it shows. The only time "Stabber" surfaced was when you got into trouble spots. If you ever decide to stop running this chassis ( I know you are jealous of Tyler's :lmao:) I want it, after yesterday it is apparent I need a spare....
Im gonna keep it for a while, it has sentimental value:lmao:But the BJv4 is hot"thumbsup" Looks like the way i drive, i might need to make up a spare:lmao:

Pretty good driving yesterday Billj, really bad luck. I've never seen anybody at miramar driving thru the weeds around the rocks and literally just flip over!(weeds wraped around axle very quickly):lmao: Better luck next time."thumbsup"

Thanks wade, yeah Miramar was out to get me yesterday:evil: Maybe both of us, you did good until you started eating servo horns!!

Here is that pic from today Bill. Nice driving in and out of that,

Had a comp today in North Palm Beach, I did ok"thumbsup" Finished third behind DickyT, and Richardgarrett56. All in all a pretty good day, completed 3 of 5 courses. And got my first perfect run (-20):). Truck did well, yesterday i changed the shock oil from 30w to 50w. The truck seemed more predictable with the oil change. (thanks for the advice DickyT). Still want to get some firmer outer foams from Crawler Innovations, but still short on cash from x-mass. All in all not a bad day. i dont mind finishing behind guys that finished 33rd and 74th at Nats. For now:flipoff:

Made a little change today, Narrowed the front of my cab a little. Since the UGC MOA chassis is designed for the XR10 axles,it was hard to inboard the front shocks (without a binding issue). So i took the front spacers out from between the lower chassis and the cab. Built new cross braces and panels. I ended up narrowing the front 14mm (almost 9/16"). I like it much better now, got a little more steering . And the front shocks do not stick out so far . Of course the real test is tomorrow at our local comp. Ill let you know how it goes.

Here is the old hood panel compared to the new one

She has a little wedge shape to it now.

Front shocks still clear the motor/axle cases fine

Finally got to use the UGC paint masks Juan sent me. Came out pretty good"thumbsup"

The chassis looks great narrowed up front like that, kind of like the beatlejuice. the panels look really sweet with the UGC logo stenciled in, i should stop sucking at painting and do something nice for my next set. the rocks you guys have down there look like they would be rough on panels.

Thanks, i think (hope) the chassis will work this way"thumbsup" My son (Rocky666) looked at it and shook his head and said "Your jealous of my BJ4" . And yes by the second course tomorrow , my panels will be trashed. Especially as much time as i spend on my lid:lmao:As far as painting, just take your time. Anybody can do a decent paint job, look at DickyT's:flipoff:

Had a local comp today, got a fourth place. Not to happy with that, but i completed 3 of 4 courses."thumbsup" Had a 6, -5, 5. Choked on the finals course with a 28. But the truck worked well with the narrowed front chassis.
